  • The best version. I dont know why, but it makes me cry.

  • after Jose Feliciano version which remain incredible, this by Stevie is the best

  • @DIVERSITYRECESSION3 you can't be a nationalist and cool, this doesn't go together. When you go beyond that nationalist bullshit than you can say that you're cool.

  • I like this one, but no one has done Bobby Hebb and Ron Carter's live performance from 1972

  • Astonoshing version, made by an amazing musician

  • @DIVERSITYRECESSION3 mm to bad you say it like that. if u let the first line out it feels more respectfull. But let me tell u this without judgement,, open your hart more please to better this planet! .. Gr mj

  • lol

  • This is so beautiful, one of the best voices ever

  • This isn't even a bold claim - THIS IS THE BEST VERSION

  • I remember watching a french tv broadcast about Louisiana and New Orleans 2-3 years before Katrina, there was that Louisiana engineer who said the levees had to be repaired for ages, that a hurricane would flood half the delta sooner or later and he complained they d never get the money to do it as money was spent on killing Irakis, well he had it right about the american problem i think.

  • Sunny has hundreds and hundreds of cover version... and this by Stevie and that by the great Jose Feliciano in 1968 are the best!

  • aint no song Stevie can't make his own !

  • " Sunny" I really love this song!!

  • I never did see color when I heard Motown music.....all I heard was GREAT STUFF ! Thank you Motown for all the years of "Wonder"ful music!

  • You americans are fucked up your so dramatic about everything your life is not a movie its just real life grow up.

  • @84Lukester agreed -________-

  • GREATEST MUSICIAN ARTISTS ALIVE.

    NO DOUBT.

  • mit winows bist ei f<acfh i,mmer der l,etztde arschj

  • @DIVERSITYRECESSION3 columbine, i'll just say this, the powers that be should at least act like they care when violence happens in poor neighborhoods so they have some idea of how to handle it when it hits the suburbs. money ain't the root of all evil. greed is the root of all evil

  • @DIVERSITYRECESSION3 stats say 87% left. most of the approx 150000 who stayed were reportedly unable 2 afford transportation due to age & or poverty. eh, we could talk numbers all day. i'm sure no one, including those who stayed, figured a storm of that magnitude. what is significant is these "AMERICAN CITIZENS" not refugees, needed help. the response= slower that a turtle swimmin n molasses. i have my opinion as to why. that's neither here nor there...

  • @DIVERSITYRECESSION3 if that's how u feel hang with who u choose. it's a free country. but if we're truly all AMERICANS the answer is not 2 say i'mma look out 4 my own cuz hurricane katrina is a black problem. i'mma look out 4 my own cuz columbine is a white problem. it's an AMERICAN problem. as a former social worker, i saw broke ass blacks blaming whites for their problems & brokes ass whites blaming blacks for their problems. not trying 2 lecture but think AMERICAN. think AMERICAN

  • @BearRilla33 Talking about that stuff is depressing I'm a social worker and always focus on the positive like stevie wonder. Also everyone has the right to their own opinion.

  • @DIVERSITYRECESSION3 well my white nationalist brother, I guess my politically correct label would be "African American". I said that to say this: think about the fact the Sept 11 10th anniversary just took place. If we're 2 truly live out our creed as AMERICANS, we've got 2 drop this white nationalist, black nationalist, latino nationalist hooplah. It's pointless. Cuz when it's all said and done, we're all gonna be worm food aka fertilizer. Ya dig? Chew on that. Peace and blessings to U.

  • Eu odeio você, Leo Jaime - 2

  • This makes me calm and happy

  • Heavy echo of the James Bond theme here which Bobby quoted in the original......nice arrangement.

at the emergency when i wasnt sure

i wept miiself to sleep and prayed

ur love would come mii way again

mii sunny girl shone her light on me in darkness

  • After Bobby Hebb's original version, this is the best rendition! Stevie made it his own, which is to be expected. For he is a master's master.

  • @pogistarr Still not comparable to the original though. Bobby basically perfected it. At least noone will make a better version ever. Stevie did make the best cover though.

  • @Darklordlucas I agree 100%. In fact, that's basically what I said. In complementing Stevie, i wasn't takin' anything away from Bobby Hebb's classic and PERFECT recording.

  • @pogistarr I know you did. Just had to repeat it. Too bad most covers try to drag it so much (like stevie did, but less good), while the original was pretty fast actually. Just had to talk about the greatness of the song :P.

  • @Darklordlucas No doubt. Here's to great music!

  • This has such a sixties sound.

    Stevie's solo in sweet.

    This thing swings like crazy!

Sinatra and Ellington put a big band stamp on 'Sunny' and here, Steve makes it his own.

    Great song.

  • Stevie Wonder is a musical genius!

  • @Gthanomad hahaha you refering to this? : Avh2QdAxQjw

you're comment reminded me of it ;-)

  • @depatman ha, you know it!

  • at least i can say i saw him in vancouver, b.c. like 1985 or so.

  • the greatest harp player, I think. Thanks Stevie!

  • Defo the best version of this song everything this fella touches turns turns to gold

  • the two "people" who disliked this are fucking idiots for want of a better word.....and to them: DON'T LISTEN TO IT THEN...WE DON'T WANT YOUR DISLIKES HERE!

  • who arranged this....? Quincy? Sounds very James Bond.......?

  • which girls band sing the cover of the song?

  • it is really creepy being and detroiter '55 and talking about steve. it is painfull. for me a white man to talk steve...... it hurts me. i love you baby.

  • @teden20 but that's the thing, music has no color- it's here for all to enjoy...be easy fam!

  • @BearRilla33 absolutely!! for years & years & years, listening to keith jarrett's koln concertt...&&& i never knew he was black!! i so love that i didnt know... i just love the music so much!! its our spirits, what the hell is color anyways, when we're all mixed up from all over anyways>?!!! the rest: we're all one.

  • better than Gaye and Brown, thats sure..

  • check - Boney M. "Sunny" (video version 2006)

  • yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiah

  • best version is from James Brown, look at this, thanks for upload...

  • sunny ;)

  • .... I'm being to think that great song writers are becoming extinct and Stevie is the last dying breed.

  • @swayDay00 but he didnt right this song

  • @chimpink and you didn't write 'write' right

  • @swayDay00 I think you are probably right.

  • Michael and Stevie had shared the same vocal instructor from the early 60's into the early 70's it is why both of their vocal abilities were a mirrow reflection of each other in the 60's, 70's, up to the earliy 80's. Stevie would later write a song for his dear friend Michael Jackson... You probably heard of it!!! The song title: " I can't help it" A very beautiful song that take you places which is very rare now...

  • @swayDay00 Can't help it is off da chain. It's from Off The Wall. On a sad note, when Stevie performed @ Mike's memorial, he played a portion of it at the very beginning just B4 singing I Never Dreamed You'd Leave In Summer...

  • @BearRilla33 I held my tears all the time but when Stevie sang those two wonderful songs I burst into tears... :'(

  • Stevie your version is VERY romantic like you.

    I love you

  • i absolutely love stevie's version of this song...actually, as of now, this is my favorite version.....very nice.. thanks for sharing this! :O)

  • Awesome, Stevie is maybe my favorite Artist ever. Check out James brown's version of this as well ;)

  • if you want to hear this song sung with a little heart and soul, check out 'airto' and his version of this, trust me you won't be disappointed

  • Oh my, this is so fuckin' tight!! Stevie is tha genius, there will be no one like him!

  • Bobby Hebb's version is my favorite but this version is still great. Actually I prefer this one over Marvin Gayes but it's a great song no matter what legend is singing it!

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for the upload! :D been wanting to listen to this.

you can see his eyes behind his glasses, they look gorgeous!!

he is in my top three most favourite artists, and one of my favourite songs by him!

  • He's my favorite, hand's down! My favorites albums of his are Talking Book, Songs In The Key Of Life, Innervisions and Hotter Than July.

  • @BearRilla33

    me too.

Have you seen the "Live at Last" Live DVD? It's fantastic - recorded in about 2008 I think?

  • @craigfromnewcastle Never seen it. I've seen advertisements for it though.

  • @BearRilla33

it's on youtube if you want to have a look.

it's not available in the UK, which is strange seeing as it was filmed here.

  • @XxFeebeeBeebeexX he's looking right at the camera! i think he could see the whole time, it was all for marketing purposes

  • @zoroisdead oh for pete's sake! Stevie was born six weeks prematurely and as a result had detached retinas. He is, unfortunately, BLIND. Having the absolute nerve to make such a ridiculous comment as to say it was 'all for marketing purposes' totally demeans the man, his genius and everything he's achieved in his entire life! Now go away with your stupidity.

  • thanks I didn't think I would find it up on youtube,

  • Thanks for putting this up. Hopefully it'll stay up... my favorite version (Bobby Hebb's is great too just wish it was longer)

  • No prob fam. I like B. Hebb's version too but Stevie's is my fave version 2.

  • @BearRilla33 jamiroquai's the best.. but this too is full of soul
