They are not complaining about the fight because it is a fight. They were complaining because sutton threw a perfectly clean hit which didn't require a fight. If sutton had thrown an elbow, or hit him in the head, then yes, go after him (and im an islander fan saying that), but in this case, clean hit, no need to go after sutton

good call by the officials.... I was AGAINST the instigator penalty when it debuted......even more so after reading a couple recent books where alot of players(including scorers) were against it as well.... but this fight is ridiculous....absolutely unecessary,....good job by the officials.

i have to agree. these have to be the dumbest hockey commentators i've ever heard. fighting is a huge part of the game and big hits will always equal fights that's just how it goes. and i read that book. it's one of the best i've ever read i recommend every pick it up. it's worth it.
