  • Very nice

  • "Hard to get gertie" Fox trot, couldn't find it in the supertone/columbia rollographies. Would love having this on 88 note roll!

Excellent video, very enjoyable to listen to.

  • @AAErikCO I'm sure this came out on Capitol (and Supertone, etc.)... the listings are incomplete. Given a lack of known 88-note roll catalogs surviving from this period (1926 on) and also given the lackadaisical and incomplete Capitol roll listings present in the Music Trade Review from this same period, the best way to complete the rollography would be to simply inventory known existing rolls!

Anyway, this sounds to me like a QRS (Clark or Automatic) arrangement, and a good one!

  • What I love about listening to a FULLY restored orchestrion, playing a quality recut roll (not a sloppy one), is that you don't have to tune out things that are out of regulation, out of tune, too loud, etc. etc. nor do you have to tolerate sloppy roll edits.

You can just kick back and enjoy the music. It's amazing how good many of these arrangements sound when you can finally listen to them this way!

  • Very nice indeed.
