I've always wondered, does your crow and raven like to be 'pet' ? Or what is it that the birds like in that sense? Like how a cat loves it if you scratch behind her ears and a dog loves his belly rubbed etc. You would think maybe they'd get irritated if you ruffle up their feathers too much, or might not like it if you pet them conventionally. Thanks!
@Sem1329 ~ If you get a crow or raven as a nestling or new fledgling, they are easily tamed and grow imprinted on you. The older ones are not as trusting. Mine eat puppy chow and pretty much anything else they want :)
I don't know if they can't be trained to potty in one place; I wish I knew that secret!
Huginn always tries to go after my Cat Gir. He will act nonchalant about it like he has interest in something near her, get her to have a flase sense of security, wait till she isn't paying attention and then try and grab her tail. A while back Huginn was outside in front of the house and a neighborhood Cat was trying to stalk him. He let the Cat get close enough and then He began chasing and stalking the Cat. That Cat no longer goes near him.
Edgar is the same way with cats. Sneaky. He gets jealous of my one male cat, Clapton, who is very large. When Clapton comes to sit on my lap, Edgar tries to get his tail; but Clapton surprised Edgar when he came right back at him! Now Edgar won't bother him. You need to get a video of Huginn stalking the cat, I have to see it :)
Doesn't he fly into windows or the mirror? :0

I love ravens, and crows...Is it hard to tame them? And what do they need to eat?
