  • The dignitaries have assembled. Thanks for a good laugh to start my day.

  • @AltRage

lol, thanks for appreciating my humour. I had the Alien dignitaries there, since thet like the triangular shaped Deltic engine that was built based on the Jumo 205 design principles. Check out "Zontaar" channel you may get a laugh at the vids there :)

  • Not ufo enough

  • a pynical engine

  • Right on charger. You got a good idea there.Keep scratching your head man ,,,its doable.

  • @mastersduhgree

I get a better run out of it on the second video, about 5 seconds, before it sheared the flywheel keys cutting the spark. I am building a new base that won't flex so much also :)

  • Petrol OP 2T engines have been done before, but I'm not sure about who made them.

I have seen an OP sidevalve 4T in action. The builder used a chain to phase the cranks. That was two B&S engines as well.

Keep going, then stack them to build a Culverin :-)

Thumbs up just for doing it.

  • @VintageSG

    Thanks for the info :)

If Briggs made a 60 degree V engine, I would make a Deltic type for sure!!!! :)

I will be uploading a vid soon of a Deltic engine idea I have, perhaps some entrprising person in the UK will build it for YouTube use!

  • FAIL!!

  • @MyYamahayz

Hey as long as it started, I was happy!

I wasn't 100% sure this engine would even run on gasoline, as it was based on the Deltic diesel design.

  • @rafarocket i love how you try to act all tough n smart. Dis like videos all you want, just proves your too damn stupid to understand whats going on and therefor dont like it. Returd

  • half you fucktards dont even know what internal combustion is, nor how it even works. stop dis-likeing this guys shit...

  • @demonsparkx

Holy *@#&, thats quite a comment!

    Thanks for your support :)

  • @demonsparkx i disliked in honor of your fuck tard comment

  • @rafarocket

    :( >:(( :)

  • @rafarocket No your just being an ass hole cause you want something like this and you wanted to write that comment atleast some people like me Like this type of stuff Keep On Going ChargerMiles007 ill have to post mine

  • brilliant! I love stuff like this..Napiers borrowed this technology from Junkers for their fast torpedo boat engine, which ultimately became the 18 cyl deltic locomotive engine, used with great effect in the UK between 1955-1981. The engine was not as durable as a contemporary 4 stroke but it produced some serious power

  • @mrspivvy

Yes, I am a BIG Napier Deltic Fan :)

    Take care.

  • fail lol

  • @OceanStateTuning

Hey, to me it was a sucess, since the engine actually ran!

I wasn't 100% sure that an opposed piston engine would run on gasoline, as the only other ones I have heard of were all diesels. I know it only ran about 5 seconds then sheared a flywheel key, I will run it longer sometime, I am just busy building other projects :)

  • @ChargerMiles007 Probably detonation, too much compression, maybe not, never looked into this, it is cool though!

  • @OceanStateTuning

Yes, hard to say, I think it is vibration, since the 2 power pistons don't arrive at TDC at the same time (the exhaust piston leads by 20 degrees), so there is some imbalance causing vbrations. Perhaps I will have to buther up some type of a vibration damper.

  • @bargainbin21

Actually, you have it backwards, look closely where the smoke is coming from, it is out of the 1 piston of the green colored engine. This engine is a supercharged 2 stroke, just as I state. I have 3 or 4 more vids that show the details better. Yes, all 3 are connected by chains, I show that in a vid also.

  • google Napier Deltic. similar principle but on a really Huge scale.

  • @Mercmad

Thanks, I should have named this after the Deltic, very few people seem to know what a Junkers Jumo 205 is!

  • i dont get it what is the point in doing this??

  • @roughedup32

Just to prove that the concept would work. Plus none of the old Junkers Jumo 205 diesels have been running since the end of WW2 (as far as I know), so I wanted to run an engine that uses the same opposed 2 stroke concept.

  • LMAO i had same setup when I first played with these motors, gota love the wood base!! I remember If I rev'ed motor high enough I would "float" across the ground :P

  • @djrevolution99

Yes, these wood bases will move all over the place, I have have that happen (see the vid of the Supercharged 2 stroke) it does a pretty good dance :)

I intended to fire this up for a longer run this summer, but other things got in the way, next summer, for sure!

  • everytime i see a Chemtrail i salute

  • vibration free...

    well done!

  • do both crankshafts spin the same way?

  • @Smallgasengine1

Yes, both crankshafts on the 2 stroke power unit spin the same direction. The SuperCharger is also driven the same direction with a separate chain off the intake piston crankshaft.

  • This time around,..the illegal alien dignitaries went home sad.

  • @trjonez

Thanks for the funny comment :)

Actually, they were happy, since a few minutes later the engine ran for 5 seconds, filled the backyard full of smoke, then broke 2 flywhee keys, shutting it down :)

  • I see you riveted the shrouds together, but did you cut a hole so the two circulate air through each other or is it only riveted?

  • @SuperKONR

Most of the front wall is cut away, so the air is free to circulate.

  • Can you show how the engines are hooked together?

  • @redneckbryon

Yes, I will do that in a vid Monday, hopefully. I just made a vid about how it works, but the library closes before I have time to upload it >:((

I am uploading 2 more vids of the engine today though.

  • @redneckbryon

I have that vid uploaded now, but I can't send it to you, as you have friendlock on.

Check it out, the beast took an hour to upload! I have to figure out how to reduce the vid quality on my new camera!

  • this thing is sweet. Can't wait till you get all the kinks worked out and have it running smoothly!

  • @KrankieV2

Glad you liked it there Dude!

The first order of business is to build a new base, so it doesn't it doesn't self destruct!

And like all the Deltic engines, it is Alien Approved! :) lol

  • you need to put those engines on a steel plate because its flexing way too much

  • @30GB

Yes, I noticed that!!! This Beast is just TOO MUCH for the 5/8" plywood to handle!

Steel would be a good solution, but it would add about 40 more pounds, even using only 1/4" plate. This assembly already weighs in at 100 pounds, so it is a real hernia maker!

  • This is AWESOME!!!! I'm GOBSMACKED!!! Now to see it run!

  • @4gasem

You win the prize for having the first comment about this engine! :)

Check out the other vids, the second one shows more of what it is capable of!

We are talking SERIOUS SMOKE!!! :)

I will run it again, after I build a new base, as it tore this one up!!!

    What a BEAST! :)

  • @ChargerMiles007 hahaha... No award needed M8! I subscribed to your channel and I get an email when you blast one up for viewing. This is some pretty cool stuff.
