"'any religion that does not agree with science is mere superstition' is in similar vein"
Most of the statements Baha'u'llah makes in your "Most Holy Book" are unprovable by science. He refers to a great many bizarre, fantastical things having no connection to this world. To reduce religion to nothing but "science" is an ignorant venture. Religious knowledge is provable only to one's self. The Vedas and Upanishads refer to God as the One who is "unproved." You can't "prove" God with science.
"inasmuch as the fruit of every science is none other than the knowledge of divine precepts and submission unto His good-pleasure."
But this is not how Baha'is approach science and technology (to know more the divine). The Bab was saying here that science should be in the service of God-knowledge. It is the same attitude as the Vedic and yogic rishis. But it is NOT the understanding Baha'is have or the approach they take to science, which is totally for material "gains" like everybody else.
"vast the number of people who are well versed in every science, yet it is their adherence to the holy Word of God which will determine their faith,"
Perfect! So here you have the Baha'is, who didn't want to read their "Most Holy Book" for 150 years, but obsess instead on material science, worldly degrees, and technology. Just one of the many examples doing the opposite of what their religion really taught. It's also another evidence of their founders' anti-science and anti-technology stance.
I know that the Baha'is have a distinct disinterest in the Hidden Words based on my 15+ years of intense involvement with them. The are occasional decorations for their "feasts," but it's definitely not cool to talk about them or analyze their content. That's true in the BF generally. Very shallow religion.
@BookOfFlaws This Baha'i reads Hidden Words, everyday. What is it that gives you such pleasure in ridiculing other peoples spiritual beliefs. Does it make you feel in some way powerfull? Do you get your jollies by doing this in your spare time?Do you believe anyone is going to become a follower of Yoga Sutra or whatever else you tout, by the example you are setting. If the result of your spiritual quest has led you to hate this badly, I certainly, want no part of what you offer.
Yes, according to the orientalists Elder and Miller the Bab forbade study of the sciences, as well as foreign travel. He also had, according to them, a more elaborate set of rules and standards using numerological devices. The fatuous Baha'i notion about "nine" is a vestige of the Bab's more involved numerological interests.
@BookOfFlawsHOW vast the number of people who are well versed in every science, yet it is their adherence to the holy Word of God which will determine their faith, inasmuch as the fruit of every science is none other than the knowledge of divine precepts and submission unto His good-pleasure. The Bab.
There interpretation must be at odds with reality. Baha'u'llah's statement that 'any religion that does not agree with science is mere superstition' is in similar vein
The Bab is a far more attractive spiritual figure than Baha'u'llah in my view. The "humanitarian" and 'oneness' talk of Baha'u'llah was no more extensive or profound than the standard-issue "be nice" talk of other mystics. It's just that Baha'i operatives chose to focus on that and develop it. There was a population of westerners hurting from White-guilt propaganda. By cranking up his meager racial content, they could get this western population running into their arms for White-guilt relief.
Baha'is have done their best to cover up both the "strangeness" of their own founder Baha'u'llah (by submerging the Kitab-i-Aqdas), and the even greater strangeness of the Bab. For example, he was very into numerology. (Numerology survives only in a vestigal-vestigal form in the Baha'is mere goofy aping of the "nine" thing for temple design.) He was likely more mystical than even the Hidden Words, which Baha'is already avoid. He was more obviously anti-science/anti-technology.
@BookOfFlaws Given that you have never read the or seen the Bayan, are you able to furnish us with proof of the Bab being 'very into numerology'?Can you supply proof that Baha'is avoid The Hidden Words and that the Bab was anti science/technology? I would be most interested, please
I have never seen a copy of the Bayan, and have never heard of any American who had a copy. The Baha'is were very thorough in extirpating the inconvenient writings of their "manifestation of God" so that they could establish the legitimacy of Mirza Husayn's claim. I know of one website now having the Bayan, or parts of it, online:
@BookOfFlaws What is this? You tell me that certain translations are better than the Baha'i version, you quote from the Bab constantly, now you tell me you have never seen the book or read it? What are you, a committee?I told you on another of these sites to Google it, it is there. Of course the translations won't suit you but there is one with the book, what they have of it, in Arabic, but I am sure that won't be up to your standard either. But they are there, it is not a secret

The best Baha'i sects are the Reform Baha'is and the Aqdasi Bahai's.
SectsOfBahais●com/reform.html
Aqdasi●Org
These are much more true to the Baha'i Founders and the original scriptures.

The Baha'is suppress the Bab's writings. The reason you can't find the Bayan is that the Baha'is destroyed every copy they could.

@BookOfFlaws Perhaps you could share your copies. I presume you would have an original.

omidfardayan 1 month ago
omidfardayan 1 month ago
omidfardayan 1 month ago
