I Wonder Who The Only Idiot Was That Didnt Like This. Anyway, Yeah, I Loved This Game. I Played Both Versions, But Cant Really Decide Which 1 Is Better. Anyway, This Does Bring A Lot Of Memories Back. All The Days, Weeks, Months & Hell, Even Years. I Think 1 Of The Best Mk Games 2 Day, Next 2 Trilogy.

This brings back some memories, especially Rayden's speech at the beginning. This was actually the last MK game that I really liked - Deadly Alliance wasn't bad, but it's when I became burned out on the series. Never have played any of the others (although I wanna try out MK9.)

A couple things I never liked about MK4 - it was always too easy, and I hate that they let you play as Shinnok. It takes away a bit of specialness of the main villian when they let you play him as a regular character.

To me, the only problem is when you do a fatality it stops to load. But once you get used to it, its not that bad.

Awesome game... good old times. I remember something like... 10 years ago, playing with friends in their house late night... i have the PSX version... and i like PSX version more than N64 version (PSX version have cutscenes ending, N64 don´t)

This game give me alot of fond memories of kicking the crap out of my little bro and visa versa. The two things that I dislike in this game is when you pull out your weapon and get hit at least once, even if it was a lite tap, you are forced to drop it which make me think of what's the use of using them. The second is cheezy voice acting although you can get used it. Other than that, the game is fun! :D

MK4 was the main reason i stopped playing mortal kombat games. the graphics were so disappointing, even back then...

i only wish there was a brand new MK still using digitized actors on HD with better animation and graphics

As the "video" in "video games" already suggests, it is a highly visual medium. Reducing this visuality to mere functionality borders ignorance or let's say a lacking sense of art.

However, so called "graphics whores" can hardly be considered obsessed with the *aesthetic* or *symbolical* aspect of game visuals, but rather their *technological* aspect. That is, they don't care if it looks like shit, as long as it uses lots of polygons.

Love this game. N64 ver. is the best imo, but I have the PS1 ver. on my Xperia Play. Love playing a bit of it while waiting for a bus! :)
