  • Yes, it's 'FIGHTING SEABEES'(1944).. Brings back many a happy Saturdays as a kid. We all wanted to be John Wayne...!!

  • I'm glad we didn't have the same liberals in charge then. Those seabees and or Marines would have been charged with something.

That's when Democrats were not socialists, appeasers, and cowards.

  • you are right plus the sissy generals we have today are good for nothing

  • @TiminPhoenix I don't know if there is a thumbs up limit, but I hit it about forty times when I read this! Excellent! No truer words ever spoken!

  • @volsncards Thank you Sir.

  • My Great Uncle was a Seabee at IWO.. awesome!!

  • Is his name Tony?

  • @nydar47 SMART ASS

  • for USS Enterprise CV-6 buffs, the last minutes of 'The Fighting Seabees' possibly shows the 'Big E' sailing into Pearl Harbor in the background of this 1944 film..

  • Best film of the marines. There were a lot of brave men lost at Iwo Jima.

  • sands of iwo jima is the best john wayne movie ever.one of the few movies i teared up at the ending and im just a 17 yr old kid."tell em you got it off a dead nip" "a dead nip"

  • Yes, this is from The Fighting Seabees. I, myself, was a Seabee. This film is almost required viewing in Seabee Technical School out of tradition.

  • Yea not Iwo Jima...

  • wow that was pretty good for the time.

  • This is indeed from The Fighting Seabees.

  • This is not the Sands of Iwo Jima! This from the movie The Fighting Sea Bees!

  • Perhaps you are correct. I'll revise the description after viewing each movie again.
