@Bgirldotnet Well with the new technology to trace digital copyright infringement has just improved a lot and a new law was created this year. I guess they're just claiming back what's theirs... though it could also be that they don't want an awesome fandub like ours being better than an official new one in the making :P

@tenshirider Add it to one of your trusted sites and it should work. We're not sure why McAfee claims it to be bad... Symantec doesn't... Norton doesn't... maybe the fact it has torrents on it that it doesn't like it.. We'll look more into it soon.

If Toei doesnt want professional fandubs like this to happen, then they better step it up and have Stars dubbed direct to DVD if it's too suggestive to television. It's been well over a decade and fans still want it, it's obvious by this project, so we had been get an official dub if companies are going to play hardball. Next time they might send a cease and desist notice. That would be terrible if they did that.

@starsfandub Go to Dailymotion, Toei can't do nothing over there. You could also try Blip, Facebook Video, Myspace Video, or GUBA. A lot of Anime Fan Dubbers and Video Game LP'ers are starting to migrate to those websites because of this Youtube Flagging and Copyright BS. Any if any those options don't, try submitting your work to all the Anime Streaming websites that are popping up around the net.

Hmm this happened to the SMA team as well. Megimi33's account got deleted because of Toei. I think it's because Toei is rearing sailor moon in certain countries. I think they should see your dub as form of advertisement. If they saw how popular you dub got then they could see how popular SM could be in the USA again. Especially season 5 seeing how it never air in the USA. *shakes* if companies could only see that fandubbing and parodies are good tool for advertising.

You could always post the videos on Youtube and switch the settings to private/unsearchable so that you can post it on your site. That way people who don't want to download the episode can just watch the streaming Youtube video on your site. But, if it's someone else who's flagging your videos, then there's a jealous hater amongst the viewers, and I'm not sure what else could be done. :T

Fandubs in no way in my opinion hurt the market for them because a lot of people hate dubs anyway and most they'll buy the original if they have the money . I mean if they're going to make a worldwide renewal they should make a rule for fandubs that have been around before liscensing. Plus there's no way if they are going to redub it they'll do it like yours anyway.

@PrincessKagayaki Fandubs now days are much different. It used to be about redubbing a series closer to the original and that is how most dubs are now. I can't see that it would be a problem even if it gets redubbed in America because there's no way it'd be dubbed the same and people would still watch it or buy the DVDs anyway. I could see if your fandub was uncensored and close to the way they'd do it. But as I said it might have to do with the soundtrack.
