  • nice how much for the pack and where u find it?

    john

  • Oingo Boingo! Cool video!

  • Ya the 8 cells are pretty cool. I bought the parkzone 8 cell that was made for the cub, but I haven't flown it with the neo battery pack yet but I've done some testing and the plane gets a lot more thrust. It's awsome.

  • Your video is still great. I love super cub.

  • AGREED

  • hello everyone, can say to me someone which akkus is used here, because I hold for a very good idea with several akkus, so that one can fly longer.but writes please with all apostrophe and so on, because I come from Germany and cannot yet so well English

  • I swapped out the motor for a 480 brushless with a 30 amp esc and a 1800 li-po. You should see this thing go!!!! When I get some one to come out and film it, I will stick it on here. With the super cub you don't have to spend a lot of money to have great fun!!!!

Nice flying, nice vid : )

  • How did you mount the motor? what propeller did you use?

    thanks!

  • What's the difference between the first 8-cell you showed (the crappy one) and the second you showed (the good one)? Which one actually came with the plane?

  • Cool! I'm going to get a better battery now! Have you done any other mods to it?

  • I have the same setup here in U.K with an 8cell I also get a bit better climb rate and speed but by the looks of things not quite as powerful as yours.Favourite 'trick'is nose dive from a great height and just pull up in time. Gotta love the cub

  • can i use the stock DC charger for the 8 cell packs

  • how come that flyes so true?

  • Looks like you have a great place to fly. I just have a small park to fly my Super Cub at.

  • what are the flight imes like now

  • What size of motor are you running on that Cub?

  • I have an eight cell battery pack, but its in a white casing. Its better than the 7 pac. Its worth the 19 bucks.

  • what gauge wire did you choose?

  • I Recomend The Parkzone™ 1027 9-cell 10.8v 1000 Mah Battery. You Have To Cut Out The Back Of The Battery Housing But It's Kewl...

  • Are the ailerons standard. If no then how do u upgrade them.

  • The plane comes with everything you need to fly.

  • well im going to buy the hobbyzone super cub. i thin its awesume

  • What AWG and connector should i use? please reply to this comment!!!!!!!

  • Hi Where did you get that battery??

  • I want to order this battery for a Super Cub that I am getting ready to purchase. Can you tell me exactly what I need to order or config for the battery from the website. It has a choice of wires and everything that I have no idea about. Will I need a special charger for it? Thanks, Paul

  • I am same battery on my cub. Private message me and I will give you the specs if you need. The battery is simply awsome, you will wonder how you flew without it. It lasts much longer as well.

  • wat AWG wire do i use and connector??? i got confused

  • u should put deans plugs on the battery you will get more volts:)

  • I did even better than that, I put in a 3S lipo with Deans, and get lots more volts. =) But the motor doesn't last near as long. I've burned through two of them already.

  • nice i might buy that plane it looks awsome

  • Hey I am getting a Supercub from Hobbyzone. And I would like to use the Elite 1500 8 cell that your useing in your plane on the video. my question is which one do I order or do i need to call them to order the right one. thanks,Jackson

  • great vid!!

  • can you use the stock charger that comes with the super cub To charge this pack?

    please respond

  • do you need to use a new ESC when you use a lipo pack

  • no you dont, it has to have the same stock plug though

  • Make your own packs!!

Solder and cells are cheap, wrap em with some electricians tape... :)

Gotta learn to solder first though.

  • I did make that one pack, and it was crap, as I mentioned. But even if you know how to solder, soldering cells isn't the best way to make packs, the right way is with spot-weld tabs. No heat required. Packs are cheap anyway, about the same cost as making one really, but without the time involved. Just my opinion. I've since bought a lipo pack and personally believe that is the best way to fly. And those I would recommend buying also, and not making. =)

  • Can someone give me a link to this pack or a better one for the super cub? I went to the cheap battery packs website but dont know enough about batteries to find what I need to make the super cub SWeeeet! Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated.

  • thats cool

  • How much is an 8 cell battery pack and does it have more power or more flight time?

  • your landing gear are on backwards. they should be turned around so they are angled towards the front so it looks like its actually on the gear covers

  • They bend after a few hard landings, that's all. I bend them forwards, and then they get bent back. There is no backwards/forwards to how they go on, they are straight. They just don't stay that way for long.

  • Im thinking of buying one for my 13 year old son, do you guys think he can fly it?

  • yes it is deffinatly the best biginers plane there is. and your local hoby shop will have ca glue/non smelly super glue reg superglue will melt the foam when you crash and break it you can have it flying in less than a half hour. and if it breaks a wing or body the most expencive parts are only 20 bucks if there not repairable.i crashed mine 12 times and its still flyable and still looks great verry durable and forgiving

  • the first flight i went to my local ama field and had some one look it over and test fly it they showed me how to fly i was doing loops and stunts that day and havent been back sence i fly almost every day now i cant say enough good about the super cub other than buy him one and go flying

  • Yeah well, I ended up ditching the 8-cell for a 3S 11.1V lipo. I just don't have any video of it. Lipo is really the only way to fly. But this 8-cell isn't bad for someone just getting started.

  • what do you need to do to run a lipo batery mods to the airplane electric system? mods to the the fuselage? also what kind of charger do you need? i would like more time flying and more power my stock 7 cell wont even let me take off on my floats any interest in selling me your old 8 cell bat in this vid? thanks jim

  • sweet vid. But u should have made your advertisement with a 9 cell. The super cub can take it.

  • Nice advertisement!

  • It wasn't intended to be that way initially, but once people started asking about it. Just the same, CheapBatteryPacks rocks.

  • I love the kid in the backround, awesome. Are you using your own radio and receiver? if so, which ones?

    Great flying!

  • No, it's the stock radio/receiver. And thanks, but I'm a novice flyer at best. I do have fun though.

  • I fly a stock SC, and today after I drained my 8-cell I plugged in my cousin's nine-cell (he has a PZ FW-190) just to see how it sounded, but I didn't dare try flying the thing. Not just because I was unsure how the motor would handle that much power, but because you have to tape or secure the thing to the undercarriage somehow because the battery's too big for the compartment. Should I try flying the cub with the nine-cell attached?

  • I'd mod the fuselage to fit the 9-cell, but the cub can handle it. I've got a 3S li-po in it now, I ditched the 8-cell months ago. The 3S li-po is the only way to fly. =)

  • I just got a super cub and only flown it once. Nice to know what I might be able to do with it eventually. I'll definitely check out the 8 cell. Thanks

  • Nice flight!!! The Supercub is AWESOME!

  • that waz cool did u fly that next to your house?

  • what website did you buy the 8 cell battery on> i cant find any.

  • Check out cheapbatterypacks dot com

  • where did u buy the elite 1500? please write back

  • Can you send a link to the battery so I can buy one too?

Also, do you use the charger that came with your cub to charge the 1500mah battery pack?

  • Good idea. I used a 3cell 1100 LiPo and got similar results with a little more power

    Nice Job
