0:42 "And it's going to save you about $12 a year on your power." Yeah sure, anybody who owns this Plasma TV really needs the $12 a year. Besides there's no LCD tv this big.
@WolvesOfEurope Can't be the Epic, the Epic wasn't even released when this video was put on youtube. Besides I was asking the youtube poster which camera was used to shoot THIS clip, not the clip used for the professional demo.
@Nannirk DCI Digital Cinema Initiative standard is 17:9. 2048X1080 for 2K and 4096X2160 for 4K - like I just stated below. Do a little research please. It is 1.8888:1, not 2.13:1. This 4K plasma TV has the same resolution as a professional movie theater projector, why would you complain? You need to get your head out of HD 1920x1080
@dvlarry As for that calculation, I found an online aspect ratio calculator, which told me 17:9 was 2.13:1. What do you mean "get your head out of 1920x1080"? Where did I mention that?
@Nannirk@Nannirk Of course they don't all have the same projectors. Different screen size requires different brightness, lightbulbs and different projectors!. Some theaters seat 50 some seat 1500, how can they all have the same projector? Some are 4K some are 2K. Some are 3D some are not. BARCO and CHRISTIES are the industry's leaders. SONY has their 4K . NEC makes some too. Nannirk, you're not the brightest bulb, sorry.

Why 17:9?
Nannirk 2 years ago 2
@Nannirk 4K cinema in the theaters is 4096x1920, 17:9.
dvlarry 1 month ago
@dvlarry I've never seen 17:9 used. It doesn't correspond to any ratios I've seen since googling it either. Not even when I calculated it to 2.13:1.

@dvlarry I've never heard of those brands, but my point is, if they're 17:9, why can't I find anything relevant when I google it?
