If you don't clear your browser cache frequently you won't get a valid search.

You will go where Google wants you to go.

If you use Google exclusively you won't get a complete search.

Use Dogpile or Lycos or Duck Duck Go once in a while and see how different your search results are.

My suggestion is still valid.

Clear your Browser Cache and use a variety of Search Engines and you will get better Search Results in the long run.

This is common sense and should be common practice.

The simple test of comparing Search Results will prove my point.

It's not about Paranoia, it's about getting a broader set of Results.

Wolfarm-Alpha isn't a search engine, it doesn't really search the web. It tries to understand your question and answer it. Like if you put in Mount everest, it will give you geographical data, like height, coordinates and stuff like country etc.

Google actually uses ur iGoogle account to localize GMap and Gbusinesses. So Google Does in fact have a localization script. Usually when you search it pinpoints ur IP to ur Area code and then localizes, as far as I know.

Yahoo! is the best since they offer all types of services, not just a search engine, but Google seems more "powerful" in the sense that they only focus their energy on creating a good search engine.

I know Google Maps is better than the Yahoo! version since it finds unfinished addresses and such without as much hassle.

I must say, Wolfram Alpha looks REALLY cool. That would help in research papers and stuff, haha.
