  • what gas mileage do you average?

  • i cant wait till i start restoring my 88 town car =)

  • This car is awesome thank you for the detailed tour. its hard to find out what they look like close up and what certain things do when your a few thousand miles away from any. The window feature is really cool and the km to ml. How much do these cost usually?

  • Man you have a nice car!! I hope to find one of these myself!! My aunt had the 1989 Signature that was burgundy and I fell in love with that car!! I hate she sold it, but it was sold to her friend who put the wrong gas in it and messed up the engine, she sold it before I had a chance to say I wanted to buy it and restore it, smh! :(

  • Very nice car love it!!

  • @crownvicguy thank you!

  • @peterbilt31 i really like that power wing window!

  • A true beauty in great shape, and that's a color I don't recall having seen before.

  • thanks man i do plan on restoring it

  • i bought one for my first car in the same shape as yours i payed $500 it a great car

  • that car is a boa,t big car. Your Lincoln is beautifull

  • man dude i want one now lol

  • there's a combination number in the trunk that will open the doors and trunk should be on the trunk hinge

  • thanks alot, i recently bought a 1984 lincoln continental with the keyless entry key pad & i too didn't know the combo...i read your helpful comment & ran outside, popped the trunk & on the inside of the passagers side trunk hinge i found a white sticker that read "32845" ... thats alot : )

  • dude i love the car. my uncle has an 88 and that thing has nothin compared to what urs has.

  • These are great cars. Very reliable.

  • Could you kindly replace the chime in this red Lincoln with a scary buzzer from either a Chevy Impala or a Chevy Custom Deluxe pickup truck?

  • nice. my brother has a 91. its a beauty and its comfy. cheeck it out.

  • What a beaut! I once owned an 88 baby blue signature series. Loaded just like yours with the digital dash, moonroof and all, but you didn't mention the auto dimming highbeams that sensed oncoming traffic and dimmed the highbeam headlights for you, does yours have that feature? I loved that feature, I wish they still offered it on autos.

  • thanks but you know at the time of this video i had no idea it had that feature as i dont drive at night very often but it does have that feature

  • On wikipedia the Lincoln Town Car's timeline stops on 2009. Does that mean that they're discontinuing them? I hope not because I love these cars.

  • gee i hope they dont

  • I think it's wrong because I googled 2010 Lincoln Town Cars and pictures did come up.

  • Hey SWEEEET ride! I love the late 80's Town cars. especially the front end. Sharp!! Classy.

    I've got a 94 TC, 350Kms still running great.

I run an electronics shop, and have had trouble with my digital trip computer thingy, but it wasn't to hard to fix.

  • it wasnt hard? so i dont have to replace the instrment cluster?

  • They seem to plug up with dirt, and most of the failure is due to cold - bad solder connections on board components inside the unit.

  • I gotta get the keypad replaced in mine cause it looks kinda obvious as to which buttons are pressed, also gotta get the code changed if that's possible :)

  • u can get the code changed i just cant remember how

  • The keyless entery check the trunk hinges

  • ya i found it thanks..do you happen to know anything about these digital dashes when they quit working?

  • Do you like your car? You don't seem that enthused or impressed by it.

  • I have a 91 Mustang GT in mint condition and my friend DJ had one of these and I gave my mom my mustang just so she would buy me his lincoln lol. true story

  • i own a 1989 lincoln continental that is in pretty great condition, however my buddy hates lincolns and says i should sell it befor it falls apart on me i think he hates all the old luxury cars especially cadilac

  • hmm thats too bad your buddy hates older luxury cars.. i think theyre the shit

  • Beautiful car, man. I've always wanted a Lincoln Town Car after one of my favorite movie characters drove one. I always preferred the early 90's models, but that one you have there is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for posting!

  • thanks glad you like it

  • I like the 86 & 87 interior wood grain :) In 88 they changed it :(

  • you know ive never noticed that

  • I'm tempted to switch it over :P

  • how many miles??? its gorgeous...lmfao for kicks whats the mpg?

  • it has 160000 kilomerters and it gets around 25 mpg

  • Nice Lincoln. I havent seen one in that good of condition for a long time.

  • hey thanx it was only one owner previous to myself elderly driven

  • wow man that car is FULLY LOADED PLUS.

u ahve more shit then my park avenue does.

  • Nice Old Car!! I gonna to buy one like this one!!

  • thanks! theyre pretty nice to drive. good luck getting yours

  • i own an '88 signature series. your keyless door code shold be on a sticker on one of the trunk hinges. thats a nice car man

  • I did find it and thanks for the compliment.

  • i had that option for my buick park avenue 86. though my dad didnt get it. i guess it would be faster to opent he door with a key then punching numbers? lol

  • Man when you clean a car you got to do the wheels, also do you think the fuzzie dice suit a 87 Lincoln town car ???

  • Hey have you ever had any trouble with the digital dash etc? Im looking to get one soon...thanx

  • Ya the spedometer quit working on it not too sure whas wrong with it

  • Thanx for the reply...ive been kinda thinking about getting one of these Lincoln Town Car Signature Series with digital dash and digital trip computer etc but a few people told me not because of trouble with the digital dash etc...they said it looks kool while its working but then it can be expensive when it quites because they always do...what do you think? I have a chance to get a regualr Town car or do you think the Signature series is worth the wait? Thanx

  • if ur worried about it get a analog one. its just as fine, but its ur preference

  • Yea I went on ahead and got a 1988 Town Car with analog dash on Feb 4th 2009 with pretty good miles for the year. Body is really nice and is silver with the 3 quarter gray landau top. The interior is black or charcoal. Runs prety good too and wonderful to drive! I only paid like $1,500 it and hope to keep it for awhile

  • it could be one of the fuses. on my lincoln the speedometer, odometer, gas gauge, trip computer, the digital stuff would go out. i had to replace the fuse about three times, now nothing goes out. the problem could come back though

  • Comment removed

  • you would really like the 79

  • you have one beautiful and great car!

  • Thank you so much for the nice comment

  • Only 220 km for a full tank???

  • small tank

  • One of the best production cars in the world. And that back seat is perfect for vaginal massacres.

  • hahahahaha

  • i have a 88 town car do u know where i could get a digital dash for it?

  • not sure maybe an auto wrecker or you might have to go through a ford dealership..im looking for one aswell my spedo quit working

  • how do u drive when the speedo quits

  • easy just guess

  • lol does the lincoln like winter

  • do u like this car

  • i love this car its my dream car no joke

  • We had a 1979 Lincoln Town Car, We had it when I was a kid, and I still remember it.

  • no actually its a cartier edition the top of the line its rare!

  • ah ya those are rare

  • What a beauty...

I'm working for the money to buy one that's for sale right now actually and I would love to ask you two questions.

    1. Does it have no feel power stearing?

    2. Does it's large size make it seem akward to drive?

  • Hi and thanks! Yes it does have the no feel power steering and actually its pretty easy to drive. Get it if you can you wont be sorry.

  • One of my favorite body styles of the town car i have an 88 town car and I love it its my fave!!

  • sweet is it a signature series?

  • sweet car, my Grand Father has an 81 Lincoln Town car like that signature series, marine blue with the 400cid such a nice car no winter driver he has another lincoln for the winter lol a black 2 door

  • ah ya i think those early 80s had some chrome on the dash board like the radio area and suck if im not mistaken.

  • Yeah my dashboard was the same, but I never had any problems with it. The only thing on the trip computer that didn't work was the average speed which always read 1 or 2 mph. The inst/avg fuel economy function averaged about 12 mpg but when I averaged it manually I was really getting about 14.5. What is going on with yours?

  • Ah the spedomoter starts to flicker out and if i hit the dash it will start to work again but lately even doing that it hasnt been working at all

  • Hey man I used to have one of these. Open your trunk and look on the right trunk hinge and there should be a little white sticker with 5 numbers on it. That's your door code. I dont know if you've already looked there for it or not but if not you should. Assuming it hasn't been removed you'll be able to use your door code.

  • Hey ya i did find it awhile ago. did yours have the digital display because im having issues with the spedomater.

  • great car but u need to reverse the tires to show the white walls, car will look a million times better!

  • same exact interior as my dads 86 lincoln but without the didgital dash and moonroof, doesn't have it anymore "miss riding in it" but would like to find one for myself, thanks for posting

  • wow dude that is one sweet car...i like it, ur car rocks man! hope you enjoy it for many more years to come

  • Thanks man! I do plan on keeping it for many more years.

  • beautiful cars!...I have a 1984 Signature 302. I don't have a digital dash or moonroof though..... I got "remote" mirrors and alloys. Great to drive eh? Un-real milage for big cars though....I am getting 16MPG - 24MPG in a car that I love to drive!! AND IT'S NOT A CIVIC!!! Take care of her buddy!

    Cheers from Ontario!

P.s (I like the size of the back seat too...hehe!)

  • Thanks buddy yeah shes a pleasure to drive i dont think i would drive anything else.

  • Truly First Class Personified!

  • Oh, the Lincoln brings back some memories for me! I was only 17 or 18, and dating my boss, who had a 1970 Lincoln, and boy o boy, did I feel like the "Cat's Meow" when he would let me drive it! Your car is a real beauty, and probably rides and drives like a dream! (I couldn't afford to keep gas in it tho! lol!)

  • Thank you and yes it does drive like a dream. And actually its pretty decent on gas.

  • Someone had a rough night, don't you know you shouldn't be doing things like that in the backseat of a Lincoln Town Car LOL!!!

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaamn you must take great care of it!!

  • yeah i do

  • My late uncle was a Lincoln man.

I love them rolling down windows...

  • Dralon upholstery, chrome, square dials, vinyl roof, fake wood - it's vulgar Yank Tank tackiness at its best - love it!!!

  • That is in EXCELLENT shape! wow. Thanks for sharing your ride....

  • Thank you! It was quite the find thats for sure!

  • Love your ride. Glad to see the Canadian winters haven't taken there toll on your ride.

  • Thank you yeah Im looking at buying a place with a garage hopefully next year. Then I plan on putting this car away for winters.

  • Thank you for posting. You have a very nice Signature Series.

  • Thank you.

  • the code for the keyless entry is either on the arm of the truck when you open it or inside the driver door panel. i am almost positive it is on the inside door panel of the driver door on a black relay. it is a 5 digit code

  • Yep youre right i found it on the passenger side trunk lid arm so thank you very much for the comment!

  • No problem. My 95 Town Car had it on the passenger side trunk lid arm too and that is why I assumed it was there. I'm surprised Ford has put those codes in the same place for years.

  • Looks good for its age.

  • Thanks..Only one owner before me grandpa driven

  • hey nice car

  • Thank you!

  • i give you credit you keep that car nice and clean man :) great job love those old classics

  • Thank you I really do love this car!
