  • @bboybiogrind and more. thanks

  • Fantastic stuff.

  • is the shading all on the same layer as the line drawing?

  • @ThoughtsFew Check your pm. shading? um...

  • really nice

  • high quality :S

  • hey Xia! i just read something on your site saying you like to inspire both young and old souls alike.. seems like we may have a similar view on the universe/spiritual beliefs, and you're into mecha + drum & bass! i have a feeling we'd get on quite well. it's hugely inspiring to see other people with similar visions/interests, and i'm starting to feel the need to begin drawing again! thank you for the inspiration! oh, would you mind telling me what this track is called or the producer's name?

  • why is it on the computer why dont you draw it

  • really well done.

  • u didnt teached nothing :/. just talking about ur draw.

  • @viejareloaded double no

  • im interested in trying this. what is the exact name of this program you are using or is their a different one a new user my try? Thank you.

  • I dont know what he is using, but a good program you can use is called "paint tool sai" or "adobe photo shop elements"

  • @xxjacobxx3

hes on photoshop, cs3 i think

  • I think he uses photoshop cs2 or cs3

  • @gunvor69

    He uses Cs2

  • As far as I know he's just using photoshop...

  • pen and tablet!!!! you cant do this with a mouse!

  • Maybe he uses like the pen pad wit the pen thing? I doubt he could get that detail with a mouse

  • I'm sure he does, most people who are digital artists do I think. too much mouse use causes RSI.

  • Hi, can you post a link for people to download the brushes you are using? or maybe send them to my email?

  • hello a question, which is the resolution for this image???

  • Personaly IMO Photshop versions dont really matter for painters.

CS + versions should all be fine for digital painters.

It really depends on the artist, and we all have different ways and techniques of using programs like photoshop.

  • Which Photoshop version is this?

  • i think he said something about using the CS2 version in another vid.. not entirely sure though. either that or CS3

  • what application do u use to make digital art pleas reply asap

  • two really popular programs that people tend to use are Adobe Photoshop (which this guy is using) and/or Adobe Illustrator (usually for 3D rendering types of stuff)

    hope i helped

  • like how do you do it so good on photoshop?

  • lots and lots of practice... you could check out different people's techniques and eventually apply them to your own. but first you have to at least know how to draw a lil and know your way around photoshop (or whichever program you choose to draw with)

but like everything else, practice is key

  • i thought Adobe Illustrator is for vector graphic design, u know, logos and stuff.

  • I was wondering. I have tried his style out, and while I've gotten good highlights and decent values, it looks blurred. Anybody know where I went wrong?

  • do you use the smuge tool a lot to like get rid of some of the black lines? If so then that's what i do and parts of it look all blurry

  • actually, I just use a pressure sensitivity setting. I think my problem may be the soft brush I'm using.

  • wow

  • I like that technique, it looks like what I learned in my Drawing I class, except it's digital. I need to try that. The video is great, but it would be nice if it were clearer.

  • what tablet do you use for drawing? also how long do you usually spend on a drawing? I like your videos btw.

  • super thank you.. hail 10x

  • dude are u useing a mouse or digital paintboard

  • well he obviously sped up the video but i think he used a tablet/paintboard as most pros does, u can see it as a result of the variating thickness of the brush.

  • Actually I'm pretty sure he used a mouse and a tablet. I watched it again, The First section where he draws the outline is sketched out. (like the way I do it when I use my tablet.) Later on when he's using the bigger brushes its lazily done with a mouse. It looks like he switches back to a tablet to do the fine detail.

  • it's the mech-warchine-tentacle! nice work

  • Thanks! This helped me :3

  • What values are you using for the brushes when you shade it? That's the one thing I'm struggling to work out

  • @Robster881 me too lol...im kinda strugglin there too

  • @OhFreeGames Check you PM, I send some article that would help.

  • That really helped thank you.

  • U are usin wat software????

  • he is using photoshop

  • due i cant here anything ur saying.

  • Try the head phone.

  • lol

  • omg! nice i fort u were an twit

  • yay! next a color tutorial! ;P

  • great detail, i like it

  • The Machine reminds me alot of the Sentenals from the Matrix. That's not a bad thing, I realy like it, it has alot of detail. It was good :D

  • i gave 5 for the detail but I didnt really like the girl's hair like that

  • great job, you are really talented!
