  • @ladyyg100 Im not hating on relaxed females... You seem to be quite offended lol, And I left that comment a year ago. You can do wha ever you want to your hair, but thats not going to stop me from trying to teach others about their natural beauty. It is what it is. And Im also puzzled that you even took the time to comment on a natural hair video and your not even going natural, maybe YOUR THE ONE HATING ;)

  • @ladyyg100 actually I don't do any of the above...I've never straightened my natural hair and I stopped wearing weaves ages ago...I agree that it is a preference but this post was regarding hair relaxers that permanently straighten your hair. Don't bet that I do anything because you do not know me well enough to make those accusations. And thanks. I love being ms. Natural.

  • Yes sisters be proud of what God gave you and I know God gave the black girls the most smoking bodies on earth and best smiles!!!

  • Thanks all! I haave a 2010 update but im having trouble converting the powerpoint to video

  • how much do u cutt off at first

  • cut off whatever you feel comfortable with. My hair was down to my shoulders and after my first cut it was about to eyes or nose.

  • beautiful hair

  • ok these are good questions in the comments and ur vid was nice so uhmmmmmmmmm

do you ever reply to ppl. gosh?!

  • Nice Hair ! But one question ..How Do You Do Dis " Twist Out "?

  • okay was the transition hard and is it harder to deal with now that its natural? im kinda scared but ur hair looks amazing

  • do you have to cut all your relaxed hair off can it just grow out

  • cut it off

  • actually you can let it grow out by doing transition styles like braids or twist outs and trimming it every month or so till all the relaxed is gone-however people who do this run a high risk for breakage at the line of demarcation

  • HI what is breakage at the line of demarcation? I am growing out my 16yr old hair and I cut it every so often but she is so scared of scissors and i want to cut more how do i convenice her it is better to cut more?

  • i love my relaxed hair but your natural hair is beautiful! I tried the stretch out(didnt know it was called that lol) on my friends hair..it turned out rly good!!!

  • Your dog is so cute! I like your color... is it harder to keep it moisturized with color?

  • loved it, im trying to figure out when im doing the big chop...

  • Great video I am transitioning, its been 6 months since last relaxer.... i was wondering did you ever try and wash and press your hair? if so what products etc. Thanks

  • nice nice nice, luv ur video, all my hair fell out all 21 inches of it, u would think I learnt from the first time so I had to shave it all off & start over:-( now I discoverd my hair is curly & fabulous natural, did not know my wool was so lovely, i wish all browns will boycott perms, they have no shelflife so u could get a batch that has been sitting in stores/salon for 3 or 4 yrs and chemicals go off eventually, hence the eventualy fall out, when will we learn, my hair went from thin to thick

  • if you c a picture everyday you will get use to it , during the 70"s black woman hair was so natural & sexy whites were copying it, When my daughter watches TV all she sees is different races of woman wearing the same bone straight hair style. she drew a picture of a black girl with straight hair. after removing the TV and letting her watch old reruns of the electric company she now draws pictures of black woman and men with Afros. images don't tells lies. the people who alter there images lies,

  • Love the video!

  • i loveee it!

    ure soo pretty!

    u & ur natural hair ;]

  • i loveee it!

  • cool video, here in the UK most stylist do not know how to treat afro hair. Even the the afro shops, Keracare is good.

ps I am a white fellow

  • just a small recommendation try to use products with no mineral oils petroleum alcohol ammonium liked products they dry out natural hair but other than that keep up the good work

  • Natural hair = GODDAMN

PERMED HAIR = ? WTF I am confused

    N vs P

    N wins

    you're hot

  • Whats the song?

  • I am not my Hair-India Arie feat. Akon

  • This transition is a long time coming, I been natural for 3 years now and just recently got sisterlocs my hair is so healthy and beautiful, I cant believe we I see now a beautiful black woman that was always their...

  • you've got beautiful bair!

  • Aww thanks you!! Your comment is really appreciated.

  • I really like your natural hair videos alot and watch them everytime I go on youtube. I was wondering what is your mixed with anything?

  • Thanks. Everyone is mixed with a little of something but I would say no, my mother and father are black and so am I.

  • Wow congrats...2 whole years of naturalness. Why are you annoyed with it? The growth?

  • congrats! I'm proud of you. My hair is the same texture, but its been natural for 2 years and has little growth. I moisturize and condition. Now, i'm annoyed with it. Ladies, Any tips?

  • u go gurl

  • your hair is beautiful.....when your hair was short and there wasn't nothing you can really do to it did you consider a texturizer to make your hair mor manageable or did you just wear it like that because thats where i am stuck at now deciding to do or not to do!!!!im loving my natural hair but its only two and a half months natural...

  • Thanks. When it was short, I just had to learn to deal with the length. It's part of the natural experience. The short length helped me to learn how to work with my natural texture as it was growing. The point of becoming natural was to get rid of chemicals so I didn't consider texturizers. Just stick it out and enjoy the learning experience.

  • thanx ma' i'm dealing with it i would post a video when i get accustomed to how to do it. I had purchased a texturizer and everything but i just added some water and brown gel to it and let it do what it was going to do.....but i appreciate the tips and motivation you provided to me!!! good luck with your hair and hello to my naturallll!!!lol

  • Beautifull!! I thought It was only me. Im fed up with chemicals and bullshit in my hair. It's time for the world to accept me for me and I thank you for your clip it has encouraged me even more. I don't feel so alone and I love my natural afro curls. you save more money too.

  • ohh wow!! Its super pretty, I loove it!! my hair is at 3 inches now, I cant wait until my hair is as long as yours :D

  • Omg,ur hair is too pretty!!! U live in Dallas?!?! kool, where do u get ur hair done at? I want to go natural, but kinda scared..

  • Thanks! No I don't live in Dallas. I live in Pennsylvania. I usually always do my hair myself. Everytime I go to the hairdressers I have a bad experience (like on my bday). Anyway you should try it and if you don't like it you can alway go back to relaxers

  • just stumbled upon this vid..You have gorgeous hair girl! the color, the thickness and the way you style it is just beautiful! My hair is thick just like yours and about 9 and 3/4 inches long so u know I have quite a fight with it. if u have more natural hair styles please post them. Also what made u go natural? just curious!

  • Thanks soo much!! Wow your hair is really long. I know you have to put in a lot of work. I have to get my camera up and running again and then I can post more. I decided to go natural though because I've been getting relaxers since 8 and I never knew anything about my natural hair. It became routine for me to get relaxers and I never realized they were unneccessary until one day I just decided that I wasn't going to get them anymore.

  • Why did I enjoy that journey as if it was me... and I rock a fade. =)

    Great Vid!!!

  • Thanks everyone for the compliments!!

  • thanks, i just learned a lot from this vid

  • You are an inspiration to me. I just went down the natural road and then... I went nautral for 3 years between a braids and weave. Unfortuanately when i saw growth i got so excited i like a dummy decided to perm and now i have no more than an inch of hair & that was back in Jan. I am back on the natural trail through braids, however i am smarter now.

  • kjones, I did the same thing...I started seeing growth and permed again. Why didn't I realize the natural hair is what was growing. Now I am on the long road back to my beautiful curls. Maybe I'll make a video next. I love seeing natural hair..so many different textures...all beautiful!

  • nice video!

  • beautiful you crown is beautiful.

  • YAY! Good for you! I'm still transitioning too...3 months strong. I realized that you can do so much more with natural hair. And its so much more healthy! Not to mention better for the environment. Thanks for the vid! Keep us posted!

  • Thanks alot. Alot of people have told me to stay away from the pink oil and those commercial products and stuff but it really works well for my hair and sometimes it's cheaper and easier to get. I do use shea butter now and then though.

  • your so cute I know the news is depressing babe I know crazy things that keep you up at night..but...It's good to remember that the world is...one big predatory ocean..and we are lucky when we have peace...pray it may help

  • yes very true...prayer is always helpful

  • I don't think my comment was very uplifting sorry...I started praying lateley because I had some awakenings about life..that it's real important for mankind the individual...to do god. I also take zoloft so...take what you will from that. Anyway as I reply that song plays thats a great song.

  • It's okay, there are many things in life that aren't too uplifting and there's no need to tiptoe around them. And those awakenings throughout life help you grow as a person. And I refuse to judge you based on your medication lol but it was an interesting point to add.

  • I just watched this vid again. Gurl you dress so cute!! I should go shopping with you! :)

  • Haha thanks! And I was just thinking I need to go shopping...

  • Very inspiring

  • Thanks a bunch guys!

  • your hair looks so good!

  • Look at you and that hair girl! So pretty! I love that color too!
