I've AAALLLWAYS loved Jean Grey the most. Even before I realized she could inhabit the Phoenix Force &/or was a Level 5 mutant (based off movies). Telekinesis & telepathy! What more could you ask for?
The only reason Jean Grey is a level 5 mutant is because of the Phoenix, the real mutant is Storm because she is naturally a level 4 mutant. If you visit Marvels website Jean is naturally a level 2 mutant, but the Phoenix gave her a power boost. She's nothing special.

@StuffedGames I gotta agree with you on that one. Anyone with either one of her powers could easily be unstoppable. Just look at how strong the professor is with telepathy. Not physically but mentally. Some of the most dangerous villains in the Marvel universe won't challenge Prof X even on their best day! Magneto is nearly invincible and thats just from moving metal. She can move ANYTHING! Even Magneto himself feared her telekinetic ablities! He knew she was nothing to play with at all!
@MrParkerJones I agree with you too. I must only advise you that Magneto's power comprises far more things than metal. He has shown the ability to control gravity, electrical impulses, sound and even create wormholes. Jean Grey would defeat Magneto, but I believe it wouldn't be an easy battle (unless she has the Phoenix Force, of course).

@doinme1219 Jean was always a level 5 mutant though, dont get me wrong I love Storm, but her being an omega level 5 mutant is one of the reasons she was able to have control over the Phoenix Force. If Storm can tap into the power of nature to enhance her abilities, then it makes sense for Jean to tap into the power of Phoenix to become the White Phoenix of the Crown she is now.

It would be awesome if one of her moves was to fly ino the air an unleash the phoenix force in one burst and it killed everyone on the screen minus her team, it even kills the bosses that would be AWESOME
i loved the game the only problem with it is they could have made a jean a little more powerful. she is the worlds most powerful mutant and i feel that they didnt give her that potential

i don't know. i was playing with her last night actually, and hmph, she's not that good. And I don't think she's that fun to play with. My brother really likes the Human Torch though, cos' his flame thrower is like.. a cheat. You can keep using it and it doesn't even use a lot of energy AND it does a lot of damage. Personally, I like Ms Marvel the best. *shrugs* Eh, it's my choice..

Not everyone reads the comics and thanks to XMen the movies. They have shown what Jean Grey is truly capable of. Perhaps thats the reason why they have included Jean as one of the playable characters in MUA2. I just love her.... =)
Ye Phoenix's Fury, any objects around you float and then rip to pieces, if its something like those big metal crates that you cant move, then they get compressed.

Yeah i agree. Nightcrawler's fight scene was amazing in MUA. I would have loved to play him in MUA & MUA2. I think the reason is because he wasnt a popular character in X-men lengend 1 & 2.
Jean's secret costume is the costume she wears in X-Men First Class. She has 4 abilities. 2 telekinetic ones and 2 Phoenix ones. She's extremely powerful I would say. She's going to be hard to take down with her HP gain, Stamina gain and Resurrection passives. By the way, all other characters can only be revived by using healing tokens. As for Jean, one of her passives allow her to resurrect automatically after being knocked out. She's the only character with this ability so its quite awesome.
Go to cheat plant (.) com and use to code to only unlock her, not the one that says unlock all characters. then once you have her, save (its let you save that cheat, not unlock all characters)
Maybe its me..But i just can't understand how basically the entire X-men team is in the game. I mean don't get me wrong i enjoy the X-men ! Its just that. I've been them before in the past. There's no variety like give me ( Sentry, She-hulk, NOVA, punisher is he still owned by THQ?, Doc samson, etc. Or if you are going to bombard it with x-men then make them DLC because if you guys read civil war the mutants didn't want anything to do with it. Just my opinion.
The answer is simple. Money. The X characters are more well known due to more appearances in media forms other than comics. A non-comic reading person probably has no idea who Sentry is. They probably know Iceman though. For better or worse, the developers are trying to attract as many people to this game, and including more x-men is a way to do that. But honestly, 5/24 isn't that many X-men, especially considering that Jean is an unlockable. It's just another Team, like the Fantastic 4.
and i dont think thats true about everyone having only 4 different powers?, in all the games like xmen legends,fantastic 4,and mua you can use four different powers during the gamplay and you can switch by holding the button the power is set on and then pressing right or up on the directional pad you can slide threw to set the power you want on the specific button and they usually have like 20 different powers? i dont think you know what people talking about?
For the very last time to all you people who can't seem to get this through your thick skull, it was stated by the developers themself that each character will be given 4 abilities. As you level those abilities they get stronger, bigger, and have certain affects to them. The developers have stated there is no need to have so many moves when you have a array of fusion possiblities. So it only seems logical for each character to have 4 abilities.

Actually in the end of the first one after they defeated doom...thors father odin turned everything back to normal. He brought back nightcrawler and Jean. They just chose to use jean instead of nightcrawler. I read about it on a website

She has the phoenix costume and a few phoenix effects but she cannot BECOME the phoenix, in this game She is JUST Jean Grey, its been confirmed by Dan Tanguey...
i just noticed that all the heavy characters like hulk, juggernaut, thing, ect. pick the ground up, spiderman, jean grey, green goblin, venom, ect. gather all the enemies into one spot, deadpool, green goblin, gambit, ect have explosives they throw. these attacks are the same. light ppl gather, heavy ppl throw rocks, and the magic/projectile ppl have bombs. i bet if you took another look at characters, torch puts fire in storms tornado, and iron man in songbirds sound thing. they all do the same
well the storm and torch and iron man and songbird are shown in the trailers and the whole other thing you said about bombs and heavy poeple thing they just started doing it if they do have another one they will have better choices
im happy she's in the game, but her gloves and boots should be a shiny metallic gold, not matte, and the Phoenix logo should be smaller. The Dark Phoenix logo is the big one, not the regular Phoenix one.
Alright, so tell me guys! If she's WEARING the PHOENIX costume in this video, why wouldn't she have any Phoenix powers? Think about it, it doesn't really make sense to give her the costume and no powers.
There was a point in the comics where she decided to wear the Phoenix costume again as a symbol of her truly embracing her powers. Shortly before she made this decision she was displaying stronger power stunts, but this was simply bc she chose to explore the full range of her own powers (Phoenix Force wasn't around her during this time) rather than holding back out of fear of becoming Dark Phoenix. I don't remember the issue but it was back in 1998.
well geussing from the video and gameplay i watched she does not have the phoenix power so no fire-mad phoenix costume so i guess she had to make one and am sure she will have alternate costume they Gura guy said they will be at least one for everyone i hope storm has more than one

As for Jean, one of her passives allow her to resurrect automatically after being knocked out. She's the only character with this ability so its quite awesome.

Go to cheat plant (.) com and use to code to only unlock her, not the one that says unlock all characters. then once you have her, save (its let you save that cheat, not unlock all characters)

Maybe its me..But i just can't understand how basically the entire X-men team is in the game. I mean don't get me wrong i enjoy the X-men ! Its just that. I've been them before in the past. There's no variety like give me ( Sentry, She-hulk, NOVA, punisher is he still owned by THQ?, Doc samson, etc. Or if you are going to bombard it with x-men then make them DLC because if you guys read civil war the mutants didn't want anything to do with it. Just my opinion.

The answer is simple. Money. The X characters are more well known due to more appearances in media forms other than comics. A non-comic reading person probably has no idea who Sentry is. They probably know Iceman though. For better or worse, the developers are trying to attract as many people to this game, and including more x-men is a way to do that. But honestly, 5/24 isn't that many X-men, especially considering that Jean is an unlockable. It's just another Team, like the Fantastic 4.

and i dont think thats true about everyone having only 4 different powers?, in all the games like xmen legends,fantastic 4,and mua you can use four different powers during the gamplay and you can switch by holding the button the power is set on and then pressing right or up on the directional pad you can slide threw to set the power you want on the specific button and they usually have like 20 different powers? i dont think you know what people talking about?

For the very last time to all you people who can't seem to get this through your thick skull, it was stated by the developers themself that each character will be given 4 abilities. As you level those abilities they get stronger, bigger, and have certain affects to them. The developers have stated there is no need to have so many moves when you have a array of fusion possiblities. So it only seems logical for each character to have 4 abilities.

Actually in the end of the first one after they defeated doom...thors father odin turned everything back to normal. He brought back nightcrawler and Jean. They just chose to use jean instead of nightcrawler. I read about it on a website

i just noticed that all the heavy characters like hulk, juggernaut, thing, ect. pick the ground up, spiderman, jean grey, green goblin, venom, ect. gather all the enemies into one spot, deadpool, green goblin, gambit, ect have explosives they throw. these attacks are the same. light ppl gather, heavy ppl throw rocks, and the magic/projectile ppl have bombs. i bet if you took another look at characters, torch puts fire in storms tornado, and iron man in songbirds sound thing. they all do the same

im happy she's in the game, but her gloves and boots should be a shiny metallic gold, not matte, and the Phoenix logo should be smaller. The Dark Phoenix logo is the big one, not the regular Phoenix one.

Alright, so tell me guys! If she's WEARING the PHOENIX costume in this video, why wouldn't she have any Phoenix powers? Think about it, it doesn't really make sense to give her the costume and no powers.

There was a point in the comics where she decided to wear the Phoenix costume again as a symbol of her truly embracing her powers. Shortly before she made this decision she was displaying stronger power stunts, but this was simply bc she chose to explore the full range of her own powers (Phoenix Force wasn't around her during this time) rather than holding back out of fear of becoming Dark Phoenix. I don't remember the issue but it was back in 1998.

well geussing from the video and gameplay i watched she does not have the phoenix power so no fire-mad phoenix costume so i guess she had to make one and am sure she will have alternate costume they Gura guy said they will be at least one for everyone i hope storm has more than one

If she does get phoenix powers i hope they look more like the cartoons, not graohic wise, i mean a huge fire bird not the x-men legends phoenix force where it was just some wavy lines from her body. I want the proper phoenix to appear if you know what i mean.

well jean will re join wolverine and the x-men in the second season AND yes she's in it :) i just saw the xbox 360 walktrough teaser and she's a playable character..her powers are pretty good but ive heard they wont be putting the phoenix force in her abillity so jean MAY be purely telekinetic in MUA2 unless if the rumours were real, u will be able to use her phoenix abilities by unlocking it after the game..not entirely certain tho but cheers
