For those wondering whatever happened to Stewart Finlay McLennan who portrayed Dr Neil McNeil so wonderfully, but according to IMDB has not acted since 2007. He is into wine and is the co-creator of the Paso Garagiste Festival held at Windfall Farms in Paso Robles, California. There are two youtube videos posted by danerland of Stewart McLennan promoting this festival. Finally, we get to see him again and hear what he sounds like without his lilting scottish brogue.
I think the trouble with this Christy, is that she is too soft spoken where the origional in the series was more spunky. I think looks wise, this one is okay, character wise, not a match. Love the opportunity to see the movie though! ;)
lol daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang why didnt they get the same actor?! the old christy was waaaay better and the old david i could take seriously. something about the new one makes me want to laugh
did they even TRYYY to get a decent ruby-mae? and christy?!! oh dear, if they couldn't have kellie martin back in the role, then they shouldn't have even done a sequel!!! :(

@MissLupus I know!!! I wish that they had continued on to do more seasons WITH the original cast... :'( My question is, how could a show like Christy get cancelled? Are people sick or just stupid?
@littlebush1 actually if you look at the credits the movie is filmed in bc for all the outdoor locations. the mission is in cutter gap. they talk about it on the extras.
Couldn't they cast someone who looked even remotely like Kellie Martin? Kellie is 5'-2" and Lauren is 5'-10" -- a full 8-inches taller!!!! Just got to wonder who Lauren slept with to get this job because no way would anyone cast someone 8-inches taller for any other reasons. Its not like she was a great actress or matched Kellie in any other way. This more than any other factor destroyed the "later years" of this series.
@MalubaySyecado It's good that they didn't cast that way. The problem with that is that you might miss many great actresses looking at that like that.
@TVwriter23 I disagree. It's a business, it isn't FOR the actors and actresses to land good roles... it's FOR the telling of a great story. If you don't fit the part then that's too bad! :/ Find yourself another job!

david was hot in the tv series. no offence to the actor but the david here is... not.
the tv series was definitely better .. much better acting, etc.
