this isn't the record...a pepperdine university student named danielle torres won 88k back in january of 1992 including a porsche, a corvette, and a laundry list of other prizes....
@domirules28 Danielle's title was overshadowed in January 2005 when a contestant won $90,000+ which included two cars in the Showcase. I believe she won both showcases. But the biggest winner on the CBS version won $147,000+ on the premiere of Season 35 (Bob Barker's final season) in September 2006.
And I believe Danielle won a Lincoln Town Car, not a Corvette.
Yes, Peter had a good day, but he's also responsibile for spreading bad luck to the rest of the contestants that day, because the rest of the show was tained with a buttload of missed opportunities, mental mistakes by dumb contestants, sloppy gameplay and bad breaks that didn't go the contestants way.
I was really hoping we'd have a perfect show after Peter won the first pricing game, but instead he brought forth a lot of bad lack to the rest of the contestants, and we still can't give away a damn friggin' car! Why? Because Thursday's show was tainted with a buttload of missed oppotunities to win cars, sloppy gameplay, a lot of bad breaks that didn't go the contestants' way, and mental mistakes by dumb contestants.
Thursday's and today's show have left me wondering "If only.."
But, I still feel remorse for the rest of the contestants afterwards during that show. I was really hoping we'd have a perfect show, after Peter won the first pricing game, and that the prize winning would be even higher than it actually was. But, instead, we're still feeling the aftereffects of the worst losing streak thus far.
To honest with you, the gameplay on Thursday's show wasn't bad, the setups though were tough(especially Pathfinder)!
I will say this again, the contestants are NOT DUMB, some are just better shoppers than others. Some just have a better grasp of the show than others!
I know you will respond to this, so let me just say everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you feel every contestant who doesn't win is dumb, your grasp of the principles of life are badly misplaced my friend.
To be honest with you, I thought the 2-day, 10-game winning streak was mainly due to a buttload of mental mistakes by the contestants and bad breaks that didn't go the contestants' way that led to a lot of missed opportunities.
If only we could've ended the 10-game losing streak sooner...
I assumed this was gonna be another fool bidding $420 repeatedly.

No wonder the contestants on the show are dumb.
