you did use cheats, because Penta Penguin is unlockable, you can only unlock him by using a cheat code.

tip: in beating N. Oxide, practice in all the tracks, but if i must point out a simple circuit to beat N. oxide easily, use Tiny Tiger and choose the race track Sewer Speedway, i beat N. Oxide there by a mile hehehe just kiddin' although i've beaten him by at least 3 or 2secs, hehehe tiny tiger is hecticallyFAST :D

I'm surprised it was hard for you to take down oxide in blizzard bluff.Oxide use 1 shortcut while in the track there are 3 shortcuts.Try them and them it will be easy for you to beat him.

lol been there n done it on ps1 and my psp versions. beatin oxide is quite easy, drag out ur turbo slides as far into the red as possible, get all three as much as possible, dont screw up the turns and cut corners/use shortcuts all the time =D

I've beaten all of his times, i found N.Gin Labs, Dingo Canyon and Cortex Castle the hardest. Easiest i thought were Sewer Speedway, Tiny Arena and Roo's Tubes

Beating Tropy almost cost me a tumb, but after played CTR for a year i made it! :D

Anyone who thinks yoy can play as Oxide by beating his ghosts or whatever is a fucking idiot. You need to use cheats like a GameShark or Action Replay etc. to play as him, which proves you're a noob

actually, oxides easy in boss race, just follow him in first lap, and knock him off in the 0-G long jump, the one where u leave the air tube...i did that and he didnt fall like forever...apparently, oxide must be the slowest reviver oin the game because by the time he came back to the track i had already finish the first lap and part of the second...it must be a glitch or something, but it did work...just move into him with maybe a sheild to make it easier and spin him and u off the track

Oxide isn't an unlockable character. You need to use a Gameshark code in order to play as Oxide.

What pisses me off is that there isn't even any pay off. I knew I'd only get that book, but thats all I got. If I woulda at least heard oxide say "ahhh! You've beaten all my lap records! you truely are the champion!"

That would've been the biggest diffrence.

Once you figure out how to get that really really long turbo by letting the turbo during a slide get really red, and then cut corners. He's really simple to beat. But it's still hard.

Uxie, Tiger Temple is all in all quite easy, just cut the corners. Right at the start, cut across the grass by powersliding. A fast character is recommended(in my case,Tiny). My PB is about 1.50.
