you guys usually know how to make the best of lo-fi recording equipment but this sounds terrible. somehow, no one has figured out how to capture the essence of a session like this and all these feedback frenzies sound the same on youtube- from ashtray navigations to noggin

A Lot of it has to do with volume. The set got louder and louder and it was in a small space. When things hit a certain level they become static-y and distorted. It adds a sameness in sound to a lot of recordings. I think it's fine though, a good document. And it was pretty noisy anyway, no real melodies to pick out of the racket. It does sound better through a stereo, Youtube audio is generally shitty. Excuses, excuses.
