This was a revolutionary movie, made in a time when there was no technology. Murnau made a horror movie creting a whole new universe to the story (the twisted cenarium, for example). We can compare it to recent Tim Burton's movies, but without the technology that today makes mediocre scripts turn into passable movies.

No it's not the original audio. Back then they could only make silent movies. First 'talkie' was made in 1927 --> The Jazz Singer.
