Take care to friendly fire men. Or make double/triple line. You just need to superimpose 2 or 3 line in the exactly same position. Whith that, you increase the firepower of a line whithout FF.

Well there's multiple ways to raise the income of a city, or region.

1 - build an improve structures like workshops etc, so industrial building

2 - focus on enlightement philosphy techs which improve your region's money generation

3 -build ports and start trade in a region, this generates money as well

it was probably the double line formation due to the fact that you cannot fire a musket over ur own men, he probably killed more of his men with the second line that the enemy did

well i think it would be awesome if theyd do a pre ww1 to ww1 game..it would be difficult to make, but not impossile..ww2 would be even more difficult as guerillia fighing had become standard (in ww1 too, but still with cavaly etc)

oh and, there arent many ww1 games out there and it would be awesome to play one in total war style (then inclueding the whole world)

yeah.... matter is the battles were essentially a bunch of dudes hanging out in trenches until someone high up told them to go over to the enemy's trench to kill them.... so there wouldn't really be very fast battles, unless you just play the part where they get out of the trench, but that would just be a short charge over to the enemy's trench....

If there was going to be a Rome 2 they should put it where the first left off and start out with Julius Caesar, Marc Anthony, Octavian Augustus etc down the Roman Imperial Line to Constantine and the acceptance of Christianity as the end of the gaming era.

Though defence planning, troop positioning and grand strategy might be good in a WW1 total war... It demands creative thinking. Also, I don't think that the game requires the tactics of WW1... Just the technology. For example, you could have a tank/infantry battle in the open. Atillery would be interesting too, with the pieces kilometres away from the battle. I don't think trenches should be ruled out, but I don't think they need to be central to the game.

I think tanks didn't come until the end of ww1, and they were really fucking slow. and having infantry battles in the open? well... ca has taken some "artistic license" regarding historical accuracy, but that would be a bit much, as the majority of the battles in ww1 was fought in trenches. the only way I see a ww1 battle would be someone starting in one trench and then making all units assault the other trench. artillery & turtle tactics would be a really part of the game too...

or you have the ability to control other treches that are behind the first main one and be able to plan counter attacks and flanking manuvers. thatd be pretty cool. also instead of forts you can bild trenches and upgrade them like you would upgradde a city

theres these channel shortcuts where you army crosses from britain to ireland without using boats and you have to use boats to move your army to america from britain but some countries have some regions at a specific location around the world

pardon? England isn't a faction, it's Great Britain, so Ireland is under their control at this point. Wouldn't need an invasion but yes if you have the right buildings and some ships you can easily launch an invasion of any place on the world.
