What a gift he was (and is) for us. Rest in your singularity for you were a novel occurrence in our lives. Thank you Terrence. Miss you. Love you. Please... wherever you are... get in touch.
@LordShivasServant I think those with spirits kindred to McKenna are now being increasingly distilled. The Fire soon cometh, our appointment with the Pleroma draws nigh. I do not know if it will happen this year of 2012, but something way big is barreling inexorably toward us and I do not think we have long to wait.
I am glad McKenna and Leary were around to lend a much needed helping hand.
Illumination is not for everybody. Evolution just doesn't work like that.
Ive always wondered, like in this case here, about the people who attended Mckenna's speech's and if the message's he spoke of changed their life's. Even in the longterm.. did they incorporate this new & inspiring knowledge? -Or did it wear off, back into the strenuous live's that most of us lead? Id like to talk to someone who was in attendance to this talk.
@MrDukenator Imagine if minds were present in our political and economic arena's, the mind of Mckenna would be a bonus. But just some free thinking human minds and souls would be a great start.
@mikeweckstein He said "sweeping up at the ashram". The word "Ashram" was once understood to be a place to take a break from society", a retreat to recharge your spiritual battery. Ashrams were located far away from cities, surrounded by nature. Now, the ashram has become a place for a particular guru to set up his or her operations. Offering devotees a path for enlightenment. In an ashram, daily choirs like sweeping, cooking and cleaning are sometimes incorporated into a spiritual practice.
@RadioRecordDiscord PLEASE HELP ME!!! I once posted on TerenceMcKennaTube's youtube comments what happens when we die and he replied "You're still ignorant...so there may be hope for you, but that ain't my problem because you're blocked." Me taking another drug(whether it be weed of shrooms) will depend on the next answer you give me, is life just one scene in an never ending movie, or do I just keep on the same script, and relive it over and over again?
PLEASE HELP ME!!! my only question is when we die do we fly, because I have no friends and no hope. just give me an answer so I can move on with my life
I had a dream this morning where I met Terence McKenna in a grocery store. :P It was awesome... Like a stereotypical science nerd meeting Einstein in a dream. It's too bad I didn't have a meaningful question to ask.
@restlesspride666 I know just how you feel. For a while when I started listening to him I didn't even know he'd died. He was a huge influence on my current way of thinking, he blew my mind with his amazing thoughts. This was before I'd even tried psychedelics or pot for that matter, but had been listening to Shpongle for a long time and found him by searching up a monologue that was put in a Shpongle song to find out who it was... about how we are like caterpillars contemplating putation.
Oh my god... in meditation a few weeks ago I was asking my spirit guides what their names are but I heard Terrence McKenna. I never heard of him before, so I thought I would check it out. Then a few days later I dreamt I was an alchemist and I had no idea what the heck that was. Now, here I am. Thank you.
TheDude! You're back! Goes to show that no one can keep this info from where it belongs - I learned that from listening to the hours of TM (amongst others) on your first channel. Thank you Dude!
last comment! lol. i love terrence's voice. he's like a wise old elf. and i love how witty he is...and especially how poetic his use of language is. terrence has changed my views on so many things. but one thing people overlook is his expressive use of the english language. he had enough street cred to use words like shit-brained, but he could also turn a phrase that left you both amazed and reaching for a dictionary. he's added to my own writing in so many ways. reality is a language!
is that timothy leary?? introducing him? sure sounds like him. i never liked leary. he almost single-handedly ruined the public's image of psycedelics before we even got a chance to understand them. then again...i can understand his position and why he did what he did. it's just...i think he scared alot of people. he was off-putting, whereas Terrence is not. it's so sad Terrence wasn't well known in his lifetime. publicly well known that is. hopefully his words live on forever.
Of course, chances are there would have been no psychedelic movement to popularize the drugs so that you had that desire to learn about them and try them without Mr. Leary. I think the greater portion of his work is misunderstood, mostly due to people not actually reading his thoughts and theories.
July 1st 1991 ... Grateful Dead played the Coliseum during that blazing hot day & we zoomed north just in time to miss Timothy Leary introduce Terence, which we only learned about on the ride home from the tape I had bought (they were running them off super-fast on the spot after the Q&A) ... I remember my best friend and I turning to each other with our mouth's wide open and bursting into laughter as we heard: "And now a friend of all of ours, Mr. Timothy Leary"
Terence has honestly changed my way of thinking and mind set into a more optimistic perspective. He also is one of the only people I can listen to that makes complete sense every time.
@theduderinok2 yes, thank you! there's way too many mckenna videos out there where his voice is simply obfuscated beyond recognition. a little low level music(without drums!) is sometimes nice and adds a subtle dimension to the words...but usually that's not the case. it seems youtube has created a whole generation of hack video editors lol. anyway, thanks for the excellent clip!
@theduderinok2 PLEASE HELP!!! I asked some dude on youtube, what happens when you die and he sayed "Life is indeed a scene in an infinite movie, and we are given a script with repeating themes, however it is our duty as conscious beings to transcend our scripts in order to break the cycle and 'become." well if you think about it we can have a singularity on technology.so isnt fear good for that purpose? maybe thats why the government wants to keep us all sober?
Man is God's brother. Not lower than, but equal to. - now after you watch this, you need to watch "History's first drug bust". Beautifully Articulated.

This is -the- Terence McKenna lecture. The wisdom he shared is like a final initiation for a Shaman into Godhood.
Thanks for tagging the title as Recommended. Everyone who's on a level with McKenna has to hear this.
