My sub 500 dollar computer performs very well even in 1080P resolution, and at least over 30FPS in every game (with the exception of things like crysis.)

Btw do you really want to compare similar systems? A MAC book pro compared to a similar PC laptop, the differences are negligible. HDD read rates, rendering, all but mundane tasks are similar. Loading FF, CS3 the differences range from a few seconds to a few milliseconds. You're just in denial, or maybe you're regretting the fact that your original post was fucking stupid.

I currently dual boot vista ultimate and windows 7 release candidate on a high end system and 7 kicks vista's stupid ass all over!. The issue isn't realy performance although GTAIV benchmark on vista was 32fps avrg and on 7 it was 52fps it's more compatiblility and ease of use like I can't play. Crysis on my vista whatever I try even reinstalling the os etc made no difference it just won't play also for gta I can't dl my gfwl profile but all is great with 7
Yeah, I agree with the last statement in this video. It'd be nice if MS would have thought out a way to let beta testers have a little discount on the real product. I mean before I tried to get the beta of win7, I had no idea what an ISO file was or how to use it. I had to learn all of that just to test the OS. And because I did this, starting in march (or may or w/e) my OS will start shutting itself off. Hardly seems fair.
.ISO files are a pretty common thing in the PC world (if you would want to get into it.) Learning how to mount CD images should be a must. Now, if you had found a significant unique problem in the OS and was able to come up with significant documentation to reduplicate the problem for MS, then you would probably deserve compensation.
I'm just hoping that Win 7 might work better than Vista, which would make the entire experience much better. I don't really expect any significant differences in the performance just a more solid OS

Its true the speeds arent as huge leaps, but other things like hangs dont happen on W7 unlike vista. User friendlyness is up more then before and such. Basically if you used the RC version, the retail is the same, nothing else thats new or will be a shocker to people.

This review was legit. Since i am running Windows 7 professionall retail.
Its true the speeds arent as huge leaps, but other things like hangs dont happen on W7 unlike vista. User friendlyness is up more then before and such. Basically if you used the RC version, the retail is the same, nothing else thats new or will be a shocker to people.

Its a Pre-Release Candidate version. It is not that stable and there are a few bugs and glitches, but you had the opportunity to download it January 2009-August 2009. They do not allow you to download the ISO anymore. Sorry.
