I agree the guy has a good voice, and is very talented. very on point with every note.

But he made the song worse by over singing, and thinking more about showing off the voice and tricks than really connecting with the emotions and the feel of the song. He never pulled me in behind the words and the voice. It was a shallow performance to me.

"I miss you" is best when it is subtle, downplayed yet bursting with emotions. Kinda like Bey did it. A great cover would have taken it further tho IMO.
