I have heard Mike Love sing this song live many times, but this is probably the best lead I've heard from him on this song in a live setting. On the other hand, someone on background vocals has an EXTREMELY nasal voice that ruins the performance. He sounds like he swallowed a kazoo.

LOL, I agree. This great song was totally obliterated by someone with an overwhelming, nasal-strewn off-key sound. I suspect it may be the guy wearing the dark jacket or sweater that is only buttoned in the middle. Surprising that birds did not drop from the sky with that horrible sound.
