  • fucking bullshit.

  • Dead set fu%^wits you do-gooders.....get the FACTS. If I come back as any dog I will WANT IT TO BE AS A GREYHOUND. Nothing more than a media beat up...go and save a whale or something you clowns.

  • Pity, that you do not bring a single proof! Just theses. That is not enough.

  • I have two twin girl greyhounds who look exctly alike. they were to slow for the puppy races so that means they were put up for adoption. and i am asured its true alot of greyhounds die but the people dont do it for the money. the dogs are properky feed if they wee they wouldnt be able to race most of this is fake!

  • I notice the comments in favor of racing fail to address all those who are euthanized. Breeding animals to race and then euthanizing them as soon as they fail to perform well is an example of human greed and inhumanity. The same goes for circus animals and race horses. Tomorrow I am picking up a rescued racer.

  • My grandmother has a greyhound, she used to race and always get 1st or 2nd place almost every time. Under the circumstances, however, she is very well taken care of. She's retired now and living life to the fullest :)

  • Who cares? They're just some stupid dogs, nothing more, nothing less. They're meant for racing, they're bred for it, you tree-humping morons. Animals are creatures which have no feelings, they can be killed whenever we, humans, want.

If we can suck money out of these pooping bastards, then I'm all hands up for that!

  • What a load of rubbish I race greyhounds. The dogs are extremely well cared for.

  • really people this is slanderous they enjoy this noone is forcing them and lograde for not an option if you want an athlete you are wat you eat right which means raw diet of bones and meat with rice kibble and water do they look skinny to you that pure muscle really people just cause a dog dies doesnt mean anything they died doing what they loved what dog doesnt like to chase things to preform they need food to race they get socailization in and off the track why do you think they r so friendly.

  • This is not the truth about greyhounds. This is an ignorant moron's opinion on an issue he or she knows nothing about. If you love animals you would support greyhound racing, not make up lies about it.

  • I WAS A TRAINER AT A DOG TRACK AND WE DIDNT BEAT THEM OR NOT FEED THEM! THE GREYHOUNDS LOVE TO RUN AND ALMOST EVERY TRACK HAS ADOPTION KENNELS TO FIND HURT AND RETIRED DOGS A GOOD HOME, ALOT OF THE DOGS GO BACK TO BREEDERS TO BREED!!EVERY TRACK THEY HAVE VETSAND HAVE STATE INSPECTORS THAT CHECK YOUR DOGS AND KENNEL CONDITIONS. YOU LITERALLY GO THROUGH A FIFTY POUND BAG OF DOG FOOD A DAY MIXED WITH 75 LBS OF MEAT. I DEVOTED 7 DAYS A WEEK TO MY DOGS TO MAKE SURE THEY HAD EVERYTHING THEY NEEDED!!!

  • This is probably done by grey2k people which Feds just labeled them as demostic Terrosits

  • I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the comments made on here regarding this video and the racing industry. The information in this video is indeed true - I know this because I belong to a retired racing greyhound rescue group up in NE. The condition some of these dogs are in coming off the track is absurd, sickening at times. I have to say that the sport in general is not the problem, it is mostly the conditions in which they are kept leading up to and after the race.

  • for those who believe the content in this video is fake, I would like to ask you why is the sport banned in 6 states? Thank you.

  • @5ytg because people are made to believe it is cruel when really few trainers are ever cruel to their dogs and its only those cases which are brought up in debates. yes some trainers do do what is in the videos but it is far from the truth of the entire sport. also what do you think happened to the greyhounds that were banned in those states ill tell you the owner would have to uproot his business and do you think he could afford to keep all his dogs in good condition or even keep them at all?

  • Absurd, I couldn't barely get past the first minute of your video. Where is your information coming from? In most countries, the industry is regulated and well over 90% of the retired racers are adopted into loving homes- NOT EUTHANIZED! Why would you harm your money-maker? Your reasoning is just plain silly.

Just FYI, I have a crate available for my greys & they LOVE it, he will spend nearly half they day in there with the door open for him to come/go as he pleases. Sadly I'm out of room!

  • I was hitchhiking through SC at this Wilco Truck Stop, and this truck and trailer pulled in. The trailer was about 5' or so tall (not including wheels) roughly 8' wide and at least 30' long, and they said they had 22 greyhounds in the thing and they were going to New York- A 21 hour drive. The lady was in buy a drink, and I asked her "so, when will you walk them?". "Oh they won't be" She respnded. I immediately shivered. How can 22 dogs be in a closed space for 20 hrs like that! Cruel, I'll say

  • @mjneworleans i think you just met a bad trainer because my uncle is a trainer and when he's traveling with that many dogs he stops every two or three hours to let them strech their legs you should have reported the trainer because they are clearly giving oter trainers a bad name

  • @tindle96 Yea, cause I have issues with claustrophobia, and it immediately weirded me out to think that these dogs were sitting in a confined space for such a long time.

  • @mjneworleans i think you just met a bad trainer because my uncle is a trainer and when he's traveling with that many dogs he stops every two or three hours to let them strech their legs you should have reported the trainer because they are clearly giving oter trainers a bad name

  • This is load of bull. I have racing greyhounds. They don't get beaten. They enjoy racing, otherwise they wouldn't run. And why would you beat a dog and not feed it properly if you are trying to make go as fast as it can? There are also lots of regulations with retired greyhounds. So they don't get killed. Have you ever been to a greyhound kennel? I expect not. The dogs are happy. The trainers love the dogs. Otherwise they would devote their life to them.

  • @mrlesleylesley You're one of the better people out there in the business then. However can you honestly deny that everyone in the greyhound racing business do everything up to the proper standards?

And what do you do with your dogs that don't perform as well and not winning? Keep them,Sell them Whom do they get sold to?

My opinion is, if everyone was honest and did what they were supposed to.

It's like every business. It can be done right, but often people cut corners in sadistic ways.

  • @Mejacks1 Trainers that race under regulations do treat the dogs well. You need to look at flapping tracks to get the miss treated ones. And with dogs that are not winning, there could be many reasons so the reason is looked for and sometimes it means you have to retire a dog because they haven't got any wins left in them. But there are retirement centres set up to find these dogs nice homes.

  • @mrlesleylesley when they're finished with, they shoot the greyhound in the head.

  • @EverillHD Wow, you are ignorant.

  • @mrlesleylesley Truth bro..

  • @mrlesleylesley Don't lie. I've seen first hand the aftermath of Greyhound Racing. I've seen dogs with their tails actually shortened (rubbed off, for lack of a better term) from being kept in small cages. Luckily, these dogs have good homes now.

  • @ame6603 thats rubbish.I work as a veterinary and i have never Put down a healthy greyhound , also the tail helps them run so there is no need to bob them , My neighbour keeps greyhounds for racing and she has four only one races the others are retired , she loves them with all her heart and will do anything for them , i've seen them run and from their body language i ,as a qualified Veterinarian surgeon, will tell you they love racing.

  • @mrlesleylesley i am with you i also trained dogs at wgp and they are well taken care of this is bull and makes me upset to see

  • What a load of bull! I have seen kennels before and they have at least a hundred meters to each dog.Why would any trainer feed their greyhound bad meat if they wanted the best performance?

  • It really annoys me when people say they have rescued there greyhounds! I think it makes many greyhound trainers very angry cos they love there dogs and for someone to say they rescued it from what..... doing what they love being feed, groomed cuddled looked after! Your a fucking joke if u ask me!

Anti - Greyhound racing people are pricks! I was pushed in a ditch by one when coming out of a stadium because they accused me of being a greyhound killer! I hav no respect 4 ppl who think its wrong!

  • @MrNibbod97 You didnt rescue your greyhound! It has been rehomed!

  • i don't believe shit untill i see it, and i didn't see shit! so fuck you

  • In my homecountry, Finland, you won't get any money from greyhound races, just some ribbons. People who race their greyhounds also love their dogs and they are just regular dogs living in a family when theyre not racing.

  • What a stupid video..Ban greyhound racing and you will see a lot more senseless deaths to greyhounds I can assure you. All my greyhounds are extremely well fed, they love nothing more than racing. they are fine tuned specimens and if you feed them poorly or mistreat they certainly wouldn't perform well. There are a few idiots that mistreat greyhounds but don't paint all in the industry with the same brush. We care about our animals and this video is nothing but insulting lies

  • there is a dog race that closed in kenosha, wisconsin just a little while ago. its called dairyland greyhound park if you want proof of seeing howthey lived there your allowed to go inside and see how they lived.

  • am i glad ive just rescued my darling iolo!

  • @MrNibbod97 You didn't rescue it. You re-homed it.

  • What a waste of my time watching this video. Mabey we should stop racing Nascar because the drivers dont eat and take steroids. They might crash and take another humans life. STOP NASCAR RACING!!!!!!

  • If that many grey hounds were dying as a result of racing per year, the industry would be bankrupt by now because they'd lose all their star dogs. Just because you put some dramatic music in a video with pictures of animals does not mean it reinforces or legitimizes these claims.

  • What absolute rubbish! The video paints a picture that is so far distorted from the truth to the point where you just have to laugh and say get a life to whoever comes up with this crap!

The ironic thing is that greyhounds are so valuable that nobody would consider doing any of the things suggested or anything at all to jeopardise the dog itself. Yes, injuries do happen from time to time, but 20,000 dogs killed? There wouldn't be 20,000 dogs running every year at all the tracks put together.

  • Also, the video is sponsored - I wonder how much of any profit from the video they put back into help the greyhounds they see as being so poorly treated, or do they just reinvest the money to produce more deceitful propaganda and lies!

  • Sure this video may be exaggerated BUT there is TRUTH there. I feel like I should adopt a rescue greyhound now.

  • Propaganda movies!

  • what a load of bullshit!

  • Account for every puppy born, account for every dog when it dies, transparency please! ... oh, you dont do that?

  • you only show what happens during the race, not the actual "crimes" of what you say

  • Go to the track, talk to the owners and trainers. Ask if you can tour their facility. Most will let you. And when a dog retires it is either breed or adopted out. They are great dogs! And they are fed the best foods. Tested for drugs, treated great. If a dog stood in a kennel for 20 hours a day it would not be able to run.

  • that is all soo wrong its laughable

  • My dad has two greyhounds and they are the two happiest dogs I have seen. They are taken for a walk every day and are so excited when they are taken to the track, they almost run in themselves. This talk about dogs being deprived is pure bullshit and is idiotic. Also most greyhounds that win ordinary races barely make any prize money but are still kept because the owners and trainers enjoy keeping them and the dogs enjoy being cared for and racing.

  • Ah, yes. More of the same lies, inaccuracies, and propaganda from the anti-racing people. They're the first to scream about "20,000 dogs being killed each year" (GROSSLY exaggerated) - but the strange thing is, one of the most vocal anti-racing organizations has adopted out a grand total of ZERO retired racers.

If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

  • WOW....amazing how a radical group like this spreads lies to further their cause!

  • Son todos datos incorrectos, es manipular la opinión publica, que mal!!!

  • @budinka

I have personally been around canines including greyhounds for over 40 yrs. Most breeds will show some type of trauma if it has come from an abusive environment.

In saying this many ex-racing dogs, have easily embraced couch living but like most dogs still enjoy the thrill of the chase.

I personally would prefer to see a Greyhound do what it loves to do, than being contained within the boundaries of a fence and never be able to run off the leash. Greyhounds just love to chase.

  • @Adonomos Not all greyhounds love to chase things. Our first greyhound never wanted to run or go outside if she could help it. She was much more content lying on a bed.

  • @KLN816 In fairness we don't judge the charactistic's of a breed by one individual. In the same manner if a Labrador showed savage tenancies towards humans, would we say that's a true character of a Labrador?

Majority of greyhounds love to run.

  • @KLN816 exactly some dogs dont want too and they go to people like you to care for them..but most greyhounds do love to run and go on to be the best greyhounds and continue to race and be looked after..

  • This video is full of lies. FACT.

My greyhound is cared for better than me, eats better than me, socialises with other greyhounds all day, does what he loves and loves racing.

Whoever posted this rubbish clearly knows nothing.

    Spread your poison elsewhere please.

  • series bias vid, peopl. within the industry go to the ends of the

earth in a care and love for their greyhoundss

    i am speaking from 3 generation .

  • Have these people ever heard of the Grand National its a massive race in Britain!! Most owners will pay hundreds of thousands for a horse and just run it in one race! This years grand national had two horses put down on the track because of broken necks and your moaning and having a go at people who have greyhounds!! They love the dogs. BIAS PIECE OF SHIT!!!

  • I like how they used a Gandhi quote... like they're so wise... To be honest this is full of lies. The data is just wrong and a total lie! First of all, greyhounds sleep 20 hours a day by nature and usually just get up to go potty. They are very well socialized on the track since they meet lots of different people and are let out with other dogs for a certain amount of time every day. Also, it would be stupid to feed a $20K dog food that isn't going to provide the right nutrients.

  • Would like to say I couldn't watch this as it's rubbish greyhounds are treated like any other loved animal!

  • The idea of elite greyhound owner not feeding his dog well simply sounds stupid - those dogs cost a lot of moneys to be treated like this. All greyhound owners I know feed them with the best food they can get because they want their dog to be in good form for the race.

  • This is a complete lie, My friend races greyhounds, she treats them like kings, feeds them all the food they want, DOES NOT INJECT ANYTHING IN THEM and loves them.

Now i suggest you stop lieing!

  • Hi - am also completely opposed to racing am writing an assignment for a Canine Rescue Course. If you have any more references I'd really appreciate that

  • @vickya55 BTW this stuff that they posted is a total lie. Sure, dogs do suffer injuries occasionally but what they are describing here hasn't happened for years if at all. Many measures have been taken to assure the health and safety of the animals. I recommend you go to the SPCA and see what it really means to mistreat an animal. It's not the racetracks and racedog owners that are cruel to animals, but sick people that don't respect the animal. Race dog owners respect and love their animals.

  • Figures based on Greyhound Board Stud Book for UK and Ireland.

I am more than happy to discuss any of these figures with anyone who cares to, please mail me.

  • @TheBexta i would love to know what website or who you asked for your figures please they seem complete lies to me!!

  • So not counting the deaths on track this means 27 thousand dogs leave the industry each year, about 9thousand are rehomes leaving 21 thousand unaccounted for. So, please tell me where they go if there is nothing wrong with the industry.

  • The first registration process happens when the litters are born, around 27 thousand (to fill the places of the 'retired ones', then at 10 weeks they are tattooed/chipped and registered again. At 18 months they are registered for trials at this point 18 thousand are unaccounted for.

  • Some people on here seem very quick to defend the industry, I wonder why? You don't seem to have any facts and figures yourself to counter it though, could that be because there are no facts and figures that can ever possibly defend this vile industry...

  • Wow this is the most attention seeking, bias, ill informed piece of garbage I have ever seen. If you want to rag on greyhound racing at least do a little bit of research and discover the real problems in the greyhound industry not some ideas that you thought up in your head and thought you might get some attention from. You are a complete idiot.

  • This is the biggest load of crap! If you ever went to a dog track you would see that everything you said was incorrect. Next time you make a movie you should do your research. People like you perpetuate lies. These dogs love racing and it is well regulated. How many dogs do you know that get to play for 5 hours a day, you can trace the lineage back to the 1800s, and get to have a wonderful life before going into adoption and finding their forever family. Stop posting lies you stupid jack ass!

  • wow you really are retarded if you believe this

  • What a load of shit. To this group I can only say ,GO GET A LIFE.

  • Think this is bad why dont you just watch Animal Cops on Animal Planet....

  • this is all true just down the road from my house there is a place to adopt greyhounds or volenter to walk them. its reaslly sad you have to teach them how to play with a toy. they will often shoot the dogs and throw them into a dump. greyhounds that have racing careers are usually racing but when the arent they are in a cage that is to little for some of them to even stand up.

  • BIAS!! Tell ya what go watch a turtle race or better yet a HORSE Race, whats the difference? They are athletes just like Kobe Bryant. He runs around a court, whats the difference? He can still sprain his leg. What about the football player who hurt his neck playing and was in a wheelchair forever because of it? Whats the difference? And those are humans. Are you saying that the dogs are more important than human beings or are you just against sports in general? If so leave the USA

  • @tonicfan FUCK YOURSELF YOU ASS HOLE AMERICAN .....YOU ARE A PAIN ON THE EARTH N U SHUD BE THROWN IN ONE OF THOSE GREY HOUND CAGES FOR YOU LIFE...BLOODY SHIT HOLE.

  • where does this happen nvr heard of this before

  • what a load of rubbish.

    little knowledge from the poster.

do you self a favor and talk to real people

  • I LOL'ed when I read the ridiculous comments in the video, very obviously made up to suit anti racing groups who love sensationalism and don't really care about greyhounds, they only protest in the hopes of having their 15 mins fame as somebody who shut down a big system.

  • I cant help but add to these fantastic comments about this WANK of a video.

There are so many mis-truths in this video that it is not funny. To the people that made this Vid, you are a bunch of wankers with fuck all to do apart from spread lies & mis-truths. GET A FUCKING LIFE!!!

  • I wanna help wolves when i'm older but i don't know if i should keep them in a pen or go to their own place and do everything there. Plz reply

  • I wanna help wolves when i'm older but i don't know if i should keep them in a pen or go to there own place and do everything there. Plz reply

  • I wouldn't mind being killed in a long painful death just so i know what these animals are going tho

  • Erm ok half of this is a loaf of crap :/ all greyhounds get checked out before and after racing, they get fed half decent food to help them race better and although it is true that a lot of them get sent to 'knackers yard' to get shot, this isn't the case for some. :) your obviously some animal loving activist that hasn't researched shit...

  • Good ol' generalizations. This is the most lowly form of activism.

  • There is that handful of ppl who treat greyhounds bad not everybody and nobody gets rich but you do get paid.

  • This video is so full of crap its hardly believable! Some of the accusations honestly made me laugh they were so stupid! Just another animal rights person talkin shite about somethin they cleary know nothin about!

  • but your retarded if you dont think those sleezballs at the track dont knock the fuck out of those dogs everyday, its not illegal to hit a dog

  • this is all true if it was 1960's but today if you pulled that the justice system would literally make an example out of you and you would be sentenced to life

  • You DO know it's illegal for them to be put down for being slow in Australia. And you DO know animal welfare requires them to be vet checked for malnutrition etc before racing. And you DO know after they retire they're either looked after or adopted. Don't bunch us in with those cruel racecourses.

  • THIS VIDEO ISNT ABOUT YOUR PETS!

This is about people who use greyhounds to make a living! Not your lovey dovey family members doing some runs on a track!

People that only care about the money and not about the dog EXIST.

We adopted a rescued whippet that also did racing and you wouldn't believe what condition she was in.

  • this is crap i raced my greyhound and it came last 4 times in a row and i still love it. and then it came first and won me a lot of money. besides why kill your greyhound if you can sell it and get money for it?

  • this video is absolutely fucking lies i have raced greyhounds all my life and they get treated very well and no one gets rich from racing its the love of the sports and the dogs welfare is the most important thing cunts like this who makes propaganda shite like this shout shut they cqan come to my kennel anytime and inspect my dogs fucking idiot that they are

  • @juv7 You probably do not race your dogs for a living.

  • @Shewlol yes i race dogs i work hard for my living i race them for fun like many owners do ok never assume Shewlol it will just make an ASS of U and ME

  • @juv7 You have no clue about what I meant do you? People that race greyhounds to make a living do not do it for the fun. Racing the dog for fun IS GREAT! The dog LOVES it. But when you're someone only out to make money from your dog, you don't care if the dog suffers or can't handle it anymore.

This video is not about greyhound owners who race their dogs for fun (for the dog and owner)

  • These are NOT lies. It astounds me that dog racing is still legal in some states. It is the same if not worse than dog fighting. I work at a greyhound rescue. We get greyhounds from all over the country that have been beaten starved and abused. Most are euthanized by the time they reach age three, rescues are over crowded and can't keep up with the thousands of dogs coming out of the racing industry each year. Greyhounds should be FAMILY MEMBERS not ENTERTAINMENT.

  • shame shame shame there arnt even that many greys born each year its all lies and biased information

  • Shame on you for spreading such lies.

In any walk of life there are a few bad apples and greyhound racing is no exception, but by and large owners and trainers love and care for their dogs in a very comfortable environment.

I notice on your video there is nothing whatsoever to back up any of your statements as you also probably know it is 99% shit.

Go back to Swampy, pop on a wooly cardigan and enjoy some tofu. You're an idiot.

  • Only bits and parts of this video are true. The rest... lies.

  • yeah yeah greyhounds like to run and they run fast...but they need to run as far and as fast as they can from the barbarity of dog racing!!!!

  • Tbf it isnt all lies, some are treated like kings but there are some who aren't in the UK alone 10k greyhounds are put down every year for various reasons all due to racing.. they are loevly dogs and if they are cared for exceptionally well racing isnt bad but what happens to some after is x Please adopt a greyhound!

  • GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT YOU IDIOTS THIS IS ALL LIES MY DOGS ARE TREATED LIKE FAMILY

  • @TRACTOR7025 Yeah, but he/she isn't talking about ALL Greyhound owners, they are showing that there are cruel people hurting animals for racing, and entertainment purposes. If your dog is treated well and kindly, this video isn't targeting you.

  • GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT YOU IDIOTS

  • bull shit

  • That is just wrong, is it true they they get away with this because of a loophole and they are listed as agriculture? Can someone answer that for me?

  • Just like horse racing this is a very hard practise to understand...

  • This was nothing but lies. The person did no research before they posted this and I think it should be pulled. The people in the business do everything they can for the dogs. They are in it for the greyhound not just the money. The dogs are feed the best food and treated like kings. Do you think a greyhound would preform at it's best if it was fed crap food....no would be the answer.

  • @wdb1970 Not everything they tell you us true. Believe it, or not. And I'm glad you believe everything greyhound racers tell you. Not all grreyhound racers and devil men, but there are some. I'm just so glad you believe everything animal trainors tell you.... ._.

  • while some of this is true it doesnt represent the whole industry. do your reasearch and word you video's more carefully. take it from someone who knows...

  • This video has no facts. Plus, you're are describing the conditions for greyhounds that are racing that are in fact illegal. The regulatory bodies all have strict conditions under which racing greyhounds must be kept and I assure you they are a very high standard. Also, the pups aren't killed if they are not quite up to scratch for racing, they are adopted out much of the time to loving families.

  • If they do it for money they should at least train there dog give him good food and care if he gets to old then get a new one ,but let the old one happylly live as you companion CARE AND LOVE this is what they need..They are our best friend, but what are we?

  • When you want a wonderful pet check out Greyhound Friends NJ and Greyhound Angels NJ or your local greyhound adoption agency. I rescued a greyhound and she is amazing!

  • I dont like greyhound racing anymore than you do, but If you are going to write horrible things about greyhound racing, then you need to include evidence showing broken legs, starvation, cruetly, etc. Without any of that, this is just a video with no factual information

  • wow u really should of put The Truth Behind the Greyhound Racing Industry in 'amercia' because this is very miss leading and is not the truth at all. yes over in america this dose happend and its discusting how they treat there dogs but over in australia its very different we cair and love our dogs and over in australia the dogs get fed better then what the trainers do.........

  • If greyhound racing was as wonderful as its proponents want you to believe, why would rescue organizations exist? Just to liberate these dogs from a wonderful life at the track? We have adopted two former racers. The second last raced in Nov. of 2009. We adopted him the following July. So how did he pass his time at the track? His teeth were in horrible shape (nibbling at his kennel?) and he showed the scars of his 30 races. He doesn't seem to be too wistful about returning to his former life.

  • Comment removed

  • @olivia45503 my mum and dad are trainers of greyhounds! Theres a few people who do this to dogs! they are stupid fucking people cos they are wonderful animals! i have grown up with greyhounds and love them...... i dnt like the videos which make every trainer look like the greyhounds are just there for making them money! The imformation on that video bout serious injuries are true but when people run they get injures..... and they arent allowed to be fed at the track!!!!

  • that video is full of bullshit!!

  • @1993COW no it is not you freaking idiot if u want proof talk with someone @ the aspca

  • Wow! Seriously biased, and full of inaccurate data, misleading statements and outright lies.

  • check a horse racing track... they are pishing the horses... really hitting them.... and they are acctualy making money by the horse racing... I can tell you one thing... My familys money is going low on greyhound racing.... Its aint about the money... Its about the sport and the dogs... Sure parts of this is true but its pushed very much.. Greyhound owners who race with the dogs is treating the dogs just as good as the once who dont. The lovely dogs and sure its some idiots who treats them bad

  • Sure this have happend... But its not like this generalyl... Stop these lies... Visit a greyhound track in person... The greyhound owners love the dogs... And the dogs loves to run... I had a dog who ran of its own on the track, not chasing anything... This sure have happend and may still happen... But please dont blame the greyhound racing for it.

  • How is it possible to continue spreading such lies? I mean really, have you ever even seen a greyhound race or track in person? Why wreck the efforts of those trying to do the best for the dogs before they find their forever homes?

    Really, now....stop your madness!!!

  • What a load of lie s this video is . Iv been keeping race dogs all my life and my dogs never get put down i have dogs of all ages in my kennels up to 15 year s old . And for saying they get feed cheap feed my dogs get feed better than any one s dogs out there i feed raw meat veg pasta and greyhound feed . You only get out of a dog what you put in

  • Keep the dogs itself the raceing community is closely knit and they dogs are truely loved i have one myself and i have never ever seen one come to race sad, a sad grey hound cant run for shit. If you do not believe me get a job at one. i have only ever seen 3 dogs die on the track and that was as a result of extensive injury dont be so naieve maybe in spain or somthing but no, not where i work dont generalise this its unfair on the dog lovvers

  • Id just like to say, im 17 and have been working at a grey hound track a year now looking after the dogs, they are lovely intelligent and amazing animals, after every race the trainers wash them in warm water and give them a nutritious drink the dogs are kept in groups of 20 on average with them being kept in groups often 4 to every 30sq meters when they retire they are often kept or given to another trainer or a person that the trainer knows, if a home cannot be found the trainer will often

  • They do this with all pedigree dogs, to stop someone else from using the genes to compete ... And desexing is expensive. I've known pomeranian breeders in australia do this all the time. They crush the head of the pup, to kill it. Horrible stuff.

  • This is great! I will be getting a retired greyhound soon. my parents have agreed to get me one. I feel great that I will be saving a life! Thanks for saying that this is horrible and should be stopped!

  • wow i didnt realise those dogs were being treated like that...

  • @THISISAVERYCOOLNAME Come on... its maybe 0,005% of the dogs being treated like that.... Sure stuff like this is happening... Not as much as its told in the rumors tho... Dont belive everything you see/hear on media or from talk. Im not saying this video is a big lie... But its not true how much stuff like this is happening...

  • @THISISAVERYCOOLNAME there not its just stupid people wanting attention by putting lies upon lies!!

  • From what I hear greyhound racing is alot crueler to the animals than horseracing is. Horse racers actually take care of their horses while greyhounds don't get taken care of.

  • @gingergirl10173 Your wrong! The amount of horses which get put down because of broken legs! This is all done on the track aswell! If a greyhound has a broken leg they can race again or go to a home! Being put down is a last resort

  • @1993COW right there is where you are wrong because onec the dogs breaks there legs and depending on how bad it is they do get put down there and then....

  • @extracoolness like i sed before putting a dog down is a last resort for owner and trainer!! Its cruel to keep an animal of any kind alive if it can't live a normal life or is gonna suffer due to that injury!

  • stop animal cruelty

  • this is all true. and guess what i'm from belgium and me and my family adopted a greyhound from ireland. and the owner wanted to know how he is. and guess what? we've send a letter and no respond. i hate the people who use the dogs for racing!!

  • @Stridjeuh1992 Greyhounds are born to run they want to run!!!

  • I've never witnessed a dog race and choose to keep it that way. Were it me, I'd shut the bloody lot down, including horse racing. I own 2 Whippets and cannot imagine either of them being subjected to the horrors some greyhounds are. Are all owners bad? I doubt it, but one must question their motivation. I doubt very much that these are the family pet.

  • having 2 greyhounds in the family home now and having kept them for over 20 years i think i have the right to express a very different side to what this film, to say all owners are only interested in making moeny is obsered, all greyhounds registered with UK trainers have the right to pass on their dogs after retirement to the retired greyhond trust for re homing.. FACT.! and all trainers i have dealt with and owners have only the dogs interest and well beign in mind FACT !! sorry but its true.

  • I know this is a bit late but when the racing greyhounds are still puppies they are actually fat so they can build muscles and the adults are brought out to a massive yard with a shelter. and some greyhounds actually enjoy racing. I dont really belive that the dogs are being starved because i own a greyhound that dosnt race and she is not that much fatter than the racing ones.

  • This video is true, I myself can vouge for this.

I work for the RSPCA and many ex-racing greyhounds are given to us near dead.

The majority of them sadly do not make it, but the ones we save, are nursed back to health and found loving homes.

Many of them had multiple, serious health issues .

When we recieve them it breaks our hearts, if there is a god, may they stop this awful brutality, we're tired of seeing them this way.

We are fighting to stop this and end this cruel practice for good.

  • @raventears999 What a load of LIES. My friend has over 60 racing Greyhounds in his kennels in devon. They are all in fantastic condition. He is a great trainer and owner. How dare you tar everyone with the same brush. There are good and bad everywhere. Please punish the bad ones but dont make them all look bad.

  • @k99yle

There's no need to be so abrasive,I was merely voicing my opinion and my experiences, just like everyone else that has posted here.

You have your opinions and I have mine just like the other posts here.

What I stated wasn't lies, I'm not from England I work for the RSPCA here in Australia. Even still if you were to write into them and ask them yourself I'm sure they'll give you a similar response.

If you and your friend like gambling on lives then who am I to judge?

  • @raventears999 Like i said ( don't tar everyone with the same brush ) Also, did i say i gamble on greyhound racing? This is something else you have made up!!! I deal in facts and in my experience the people that i know that own and train Greyhounds are great people and animal lovers. There kennels are always open for anyone to look around at any time. This is my truth.

  • @k99yle

Ok, no worries whatever you say.

It's just not me you have to convince it's the billion of others that are against this too.

But I for one am far from convinced you can continue being abrasive and obnoxious but you will not change my mind or my point of you, say it sucks or it's stupid, I don't mind in the slightest as I said you have your opinions and perspectives and I have my own so let's leave it at that shall we?

  • @raventears999 why don't you take a minute to process what k99yle is saying rather then getting on the defensive straight away. You're completely ignorant. And obviously a bit slow because your spelling is atrocious.

  • Whatever CUNT wrote and created this video wants to be hung. How dare you post such complete unfounded bullshit! now I'm not for one second suggesting that 100% of greyhounds are well fed, well looked after or cared for but to say that of the thousands bred only a handfull are?? You dirty price of shit! there are MILLIONS of so called 'pets' (dogs, cats, rabbits, birds) that are brutally kept in Ireland, brittain, America, Australia etc. Over weight, under weight, poor coats, long claws, docked

  • Before you even attempt to make a video you should at the very least research your facts. Visit a racing kennel can go to at least one race meeting. Embarrassed you will then take your video down. Just out of interest how many hours of research have you completed from this I mean physical leg work not just trawling the internet for statements that fit in with your beliefs and ignoring stuff that doesn't fit in

  • If one of these dogs is still alive, this is only thanks to the kind people who take the dogs home, giving them their only chance to stay alive after becoming useless for the Greyhound Racing.

  • I agree that greyhound racing needs to be stopped, but this video isn't proof of anything. you listed off a couple of horror stories and showed pictures of racing, but none of the claims you were making. Before someone gets offended, I don't mean this comment in any sort of condescending way, I'm merely saying this to try and help in case a future video is made.

  • utter crap, they are racing to make money! do u never polish ur porche? does ussain bolt decide he wont eat 2day? wot im saying is they are treated well so they can run well....think about it, polish ur boots this morning did u??

  • 100% true! Racing for greyhounds and horses should be banned... but where's there is money. The real animals are the people!

  • i serously had no idea this shit went on ... this descusting .. dogs are ment to be loving pets not money makers .. grr this makes me so ange=ry that people can do this

  • I own 12 greyhounds, not fed well.. They r fed alot better than me or you, if u think greyhounds r happy wen dey retire ur a clown. Running is wat dey love, not lying in a house like a doormat...

  • yeah bull shit.

  • I have a retired racing Greyhound who is very sick in her legs (tumor) but she is loving but that is what this stupid sport will do. I'm glad we saved her because is the perfect dog always loving and nice to every one and best friends with any other Greyhound. I LOVE YOU LEXY!!!!!

  • This is so wrong I am going to share this viedo

  • I'm neither for nor against, but I find a lot of fault with this video. First off, if you starve the dogs or feed them poorly, they won't run well. It behooves the owner to keep the dogs in fit condition. Every winning dog is tested for steroids. While it happens, it's rare because you can loose a lot if you are caught and you WILL be caught.

  • people should go to the kennels and see owners with there dogs most owners look after there dogs when they retire you will always get a few who dont and i mean a few each track has a homefinders scheme for those dogs

  • and as far cuts and breaks go the track is a hell of a lot safer than the dense bushes, tree's and holes in the ground when hunting in there wild state. get over yourself

  • if these dogs weren't feed properly they would become malnourished and not be able to run so that is a bit of a contradiction to yourself as u say all the owners want is money get real to get a better pay out your dog has to win, so lets say you are right all the owners want is money, then dont you think the owners would be giving there dogs the best of the best

  • are you flippin mental these dogs were born to run there's nothing they like more than running however sleeping comes pretty close.
