  • I really liked this movie. Simple. Emotionally provocative. Some of the most brilliant music I've heard, (from the soft, heart breaking tones of Lies to the powerful Say it to Me Now) I'm really glad to have heard about this movie.

  • This film was so beautiful and inspiring to watch! It is so real...everything about it is real!! That's what makes it stand out from other films! I just covered the song 'fallign slowly' hope you can take a listen and let me know what you think:) Thanks for sharing this wonderful clip:)

  • what isn't real?

  • I love this movie! This is definitely my favorite song from it. It makes me cry. lol

  • *sigh*

one of the best indie films I've ever seen! A good story is all you need... awesome music too!

  • Just gargeous. Thanks so much for posting this.

    Best movie of all time.

    In my humble appreciation.

  • The second "little cracks they escalated" (3:21) is heartbreaking

  • I saw them in concert last night and this song gave me goosebumps

  • one love this song... its starts of kind of cheesy sounding, but once he gets into "the little cracks they escalate"... it becomes one of the best songs I have ever heard. Its amazing.

  • i loved the movie and i absolultely lurrrrvv the music.some of the best music i've heard in a lo....................ng time!!!!

i never get tired listening to it!!!!!

glen hansard & marketa irglova AMAZING!!!!!!

  • luv the songs and lyrics and the movie and ppl and places and feelings and moods and the relationships between the characters .... seems no relationship but related... connected...

  • Right on. Especially the places. We see Dublin unadulterated. The "Are you really there?" scene. Rollerblading girls following the trolley. Not hollywood, by a long shot. Really on Dublin streets.

    I'm in love.

  • I liked this part quite a bit!

I also liked the death metal thing on the bus... lol

    "Fuck her-she's gone-fuck her-she's gone-fuck her-she's gone forever...

SHE FUCKIN' FUCKED IT UP... oh, sorry... *quietly* she fuckin' fucked it up..."

    LMFAO!!!

  • i really love to go to london/ireland..

  • is Once a true story?

  • no.

  • yes

  • I loved everything about this movie. All the songs touched emotions. Even the silly stuff during the scene when they were on the bus or when she was dragging around the vacuum were touching. Well done.

  • l ove love love this movie soooo sad makes me cry every single time!!!!!!!!

  • same here

  • I met Glen Hansards father the other day, he is a taxi driver in Dublin. He spoke a lot about the movie and the whole family was going to the Oscars. I wished them good luck :)

  • this is the most engaging movie (one of best in 2007), piece of footage, song, lyrics...i am absolutely moved to tears...i relate to it much too well too. bravo to the director, glen and marketa for capturing love lost so poignantly.

  • Best film of 2007.

  • como bien dice alguién más abajo,es mi escena favorita, toca la fibra más sensible de mi ser,y me siento orgulloso por "sentir" con una música tan bella,me da igual que me tílden de "pasteloso",preciosa película,s2.

  • This scene made me cry. I relate to the lyrics, the relationship... much too well.

  • This is my favorite scene from the movie (and favorite song really) This scene typifies the style and pace of the movie. With Glen Hansard writing lyrics, you almost feel as if you are there at the point when the song was created. "The little cracks they Escalated..." I love that part of the song.

The woman in the video is supposed to be "Guy's" ex, but in real life it's Director John Carney's fiancee.

This has got to be one of the more authentic, original movies I've seen in a long time.

  • wow thanks a lot for this new informations. I supposed that the video he played must be authentic:)

My favourite scene is at studio when Marketa sing and play The Hill. So emotical.

  • oh i agree. that made me cry.
