I really liked this movie. Simple. Emotionally provocative. Some of the most brilliant music I've heard, (from the soft, heart breaking tones of Lies to the powerful Say it to Me Now) I'm really glad to have heard about this movie.
This film was so beautiful and inspiring to watch! It is so real...everything about it is real!! That's what makes it stand out from other films! I just covered the song 'fallign slowly' hope you can take a listen and let me know what you think:) Thanks for sharing this wonderful clip:)
one love this song... its starts of kind of cheesy sounding, but once he gets into "the little cracks they escalate"... it becomes one of the best songs I have ever heard. Its amazing.
luv the songs and lyrics and the movie and ppl and places and feelings and moods and the relationships between the characters .... seems no relationship but related... connected...
Right on. Especially the places. We see Dublin unadulterated. The "Are you really there?" scene. Rollerblading girls following the trolley. Not hollywood, by a long shot. Really on Dublin streets.
I loved everything about this movie. All the songs touched emotions. Even the silly stuff during the scene when they were on the bus or when she was dragging around the vacuum were touching. Well done.
I met Glen Hansards father the other day, he is a taxi driver in Dublin. He spoke a lot about the movie and the whole family was going to the Oscars. I wished them good luck :)
this is the most engaging movie (one of best in 2007), piece of footage, song, lyrics...i am absolutely moved to tears...i relate to it much too well too. bravo to the director, glen and marketa for capturing love lost so poignantly.
como bien dice alguién más abajo,es mi escena favorita, toca la fibra más sensible de mi ser,y me siento orgulloso por "sentir" con una música tan bella,me da igual que me tílden de "pasteloso",preciosa película,s2.
This is my favorite scene from the movie (and favorite song really) This scene typifies the style and pace of the movie. With Glen Hansard writing lyrics, you almost feel as if you are there at the point when the song was created. "The little cracks they Escalated..." I love that part of the song.
The woman in the video is supposed to be "Guy's" ex, but in real life it's Director John Carney's fiancee.
This has got to be one of the more authentic, original movies I've seen in a long time.
