@vdmaart I'm planning to visit LGC on January 2nd, do you know how far is the museum from Grenoble? I'll travel from Lyon to Grenoble. Do you know how to get there?
How long did you have to wait for a permission? I know it's very difficult to grant it (well, Statutes are strict), but it must something beautiful that visit of LGC... I would like to get there once...
@AureusVenerabilis You need no permission to enter the valley. Actually they have a museum to welcome visitors, and to give an impression of Carthusian life. You don't get into the monastery itself, obviously. But you can take a walk around. That's it.
Thanks. I meant a permission to visit the LGC monastery, not the valley :-) I heard about that museum, it is situated a couple of kilometers from the charterhouse, I think.
Did you visit on a Sunday? Maybe it was opened because it was a Sunday I went there. There was also a 2nd chapel opened which was next to the main entrance. But it was too dark inside to film it.

Of course we did not. The chance seeing one of them might be rather rare, obviously.

Very nice!
The place is so silent and green... and when I went, I couldn't visit the church inside!
