"The Big 8- CKLW! Ten after the hour and you got Mike Kelly, with Copperpenny and Sittin' On a Poor Man's Throne...maybe I can hit the lottery and abdicate!"
Sounds like something Mike would say in those days, right?
Hi...I'm Bill Dalrymple. Bill Mononen and I (former Copperpenny members) have recently formed a band called "Blue Rock". I play bass, Bill M. plays guitar and Bobby Becker plays keys with Al Shrubsall on drums. We have posted a cut of our first gig here on You Tube "Crossroads" at the Frog & Firkin in Toronto, April 5, 2008. 36 years since we played on stage together. Thanks for your impeccable timing on posting the video.
You may want to check out - Blue Rock - perform Crossroads. 2 former Copperpenny members. It's been 36 years since we played on stage together. Bill Mononen (guitar) and myself, Bill Dalrymple (bass) along with Bobby Becker (keys) and Al Shubsall (drums).
These guys should have been signed by Berry Gordy Jr on Motown.

Very smooth indeed. Just another hidden gem inhabiting the Canadian music scene circa 60's and 70's.
