It has gradually become more common in other cultures...in the UK there is a saying "what ever the Americans are doing now, we will do next." I can provide many evidence to do this...most games are aimed at the american market.

I work in japan and yes some children play video games but this is a minority and usually for a short time...most kids study hard...

Infact a 9 year old is ok to play games. Since he or she are in school and is learning the basic's. But cmon a 2 year old hmmmmmmmmm this child is going to be a straight up gamer.
