the best videos yet. this helped me out a lot. im borrowing my little brothers knife and got down all of these tricks. now just have to get the technique down. i have trouble with the blade following the bite handle sometimes, do you have any suggestions on that problem?
Cool I don't have a real butterfly knife I just have 1 I made out of Lego prices but it works fine and that last trick you taught us I finally got it down but sometimes I get it in a reverse position :/
Thanks for these tutorials! I can do the tricks from the first part alright, and I'm now training the y2k trick. The only problem is, as you said I have a cheap knife that breaks apart when it falls to the floor (I've had to fix it a couple times). I didn't even think about training above a bed or something softer, thanks for clearing up my mind xD
where can i get that knife i have 3 butterflys i forget which ones they are and i have a trainer where can i get the benchmde 42 at and thats not no rediculos price
where can i get that knife i have 3 butterflys i forget which ones they are and i have a trainer where can i get the benchmde 42 at and tats not no rediculos price
Thanks for the tutorials! It looks really intimidating buy I've actually learned these tricks in a few hours. A tip for other beginners: if you think you're going to drop the knife, just let it go. I learned that the hard way.
How does one go about closing the knife after the y2k rollover? I can do the trick pretty easily now but I'm using using one of my other closings right now and it means if I want to do the y2k rollover again I have to adjust my grip on the knife, doesn't look as fluid.
you know what sucks? i keep getting lost on these because i use both hands and i use my left for my knife, it doesn't help that the latch is on the saf handle too D:
if your a drummer you can use the snap noises to memorise the trick, for example the first trick makes a little beat. try to mimic the beat every time you do it to help
@Carry2Sky Like I said in the first part of this video, you can always buy a trainer knife or tape the blade up with masking tape. Those are your two best options. Gloves are very hard to flip in.
@Carry2Sky if ur really scared then just tape the blade. but as long as ur not doing bite handle tricks ull b fine. im 13 and ive only cut myself twice and u can barely feel it.
I just learned this move and I didn't get cut and I've only had a balisong for 2 days. A trick to this is to twist the handle if it's hitting ur palm. Real easy and fucking awesome looking
i know that first open by rote because when i had my bali i would just sit and watch TV or do whatever and just open it and close it constantly and i have no idea why but i did and now that my bali is broken it just feels so weird not to be able to do it but im geting a bradley kimura VI on the 12th for my b-day
I can't understand 2:42. I think it would help if you could actually see the whole knife instead of most of the move being off shot with you going "umm....yeh...ummmmm spin it like this....ummmmm" to help.
awasome vid I grew up under a rock and never knew you could do this stuff with a balisong foud these vids today taped the blade on my knife and mastered every one TODAY!! (exept the 2yk) (even with the blade taped my cheap balisong has sharp edges where ever my hand is not cut is is brused OW! going to take days to recover from this, it looks like I was in a fight with only my right hand) lol
@Deathsmind21 He's using a Benchmade Model 42. There's no good place to buy them at the moment- it's a discontinued knife. If you're set on getting one, look for used ones on knife forums and be ready to spend somewhere around $200.
@Deathsmind21 Benchmade has three other balisongs that are still in production. Buying new, these range from $150 (Model 53) to $220 (Model 52). These are all very good quality knives. For something in a lower price range, the Bradley Kimura II is definitely worth a look. At $80, the materials aren't as good, but the manufacturing is still top notch, and it will feel MUCH nicer than any cheapo.
i have just bought a balisong practice knife from ebay 3-10 days shipping im learning alot before i get one for the FIRST time!!!! btw is ebay safe and i live in apartments so is the ups guy coming need to know all info lol! TY FOR ANSWERS

If you get crap from duct tape on the blade, the best way to get it off is to wet either your index or thumb and rub it GENTLY.
