In the attempt to degrade faith, atheists embrace hatred, and I find them more intolerant than Christians by far. I'll grant it's a complicated matter though, and that civil unions are fair to help some people navigate legal matters. A great many Christians, probably the majority, endorse condom use; particularly in light of the ethical problems inherent to abortion. I also find that most Christians embrace science., and only wish for the establishment to be open to possibilities.
@revelinabandon when i mentioned condoms i was refering to the pope's comment that the only acceptable use of a condom is as an act towards responsibility and the pope holds quite a bit of authority. Also science is not open to creationism because no facts support a god of the gaps theory, which is what creationism is. Science's explanation of natural occurences grow in leaps and bounds. God was created by man to explain the setting of the sun and a bad harvest. Now we can explain such things.

Killing is killing, however, somebody killing based on their beliefs in imaginary sky people and the dogma that surrounds those beliefs cannot be engaged in any intellectual or logical way, and therefore there can be no hope to guard against such irrationality. However, killing based on a poor social ideologies can be engaged logically and meaningfully or at the very least they pointed out, separated, quarantined and destroyed if need be by the greater good. @AdministratorFLG At the rate the global atheist population is growing it'll take a couple of hundred years unless some significant event like say visitation from extra-terrestrials occurs (which would probably result in vast numbers of sheep losing their religion). There's a movie that promotes atheism better than anything. It's called "The God Complex," and it's just been accepted into the 2011 Freethought Film Festival, to be held this May in Tampa, Florida. I'll grant it's a complicated matter though, and that civil unions are fair to help some people navigate legal matters. A great many Christians, probably the majority, endorse condom use; particularly in light of the ethical problems inherent to abortion. I also find that most Christians embrace science., and only wish for the establishment to be open to possibilities.

@revelinabandon when i mentioned condoms i was refering to the pope's comment that the only acceptable use of a condom is as an act towards responsibility and the pope holds quite a bit of authority. Also science is not open to creationism because no facts support a god of the gaps theory, which is what creationism is. Science's explanation of natural occurences grow in leaps and bounds. God was created by man to explain the setting of the sun and a bad harvest. Now we can explain such things.

Killing is killing, however, somebody killing based on their beliefs in imaginary sky people and the dogma that surrounds those beliefs cannot be engaged in any intellectual or logical way, and therefore there can be no hope to guard against such irrationality. However, killing based on a poor social ideologies can be engaged logically and meaningfully or at the very least they pointed out, separated, quarantined and destroyed if need be by the greater good. But even if atheists were historically all serial killers and mass murders, while religious people were all hardcore pacifists, it would not make atheism any less correct, which is all that should be at issue.

People converting to something does not prove something there are 13% more Christians then Muslims but that proves nothing. Fantastic video. Very moving and wonderfully produced. I think Atheism is becoming more mainstream. I watch the movie Paul tonight which is a mainstream Hollywood comedy with a very clear Atheist message throughout the film. In fact one of the leading characters converts from Christianity to Atheism realizing how stupid she was been all along. Heartwarming to see.

@AdministratorFLG At the rate the global atheist population is growing it'll take a couple of hundred years unless some significant event like say visitation from extra-terrestrials occurs (which would probably result in vast numbers of sheep losing their religion). It's unfortunate that this generation will not see the end of all Zeus, Thor and Yahweh lovers, but it will happen one day. Every religion that has ever existed save a very few have fallen by the wayside eventually.

There's a movie that promotes atheism better than anything. It's called "The God Complex," and it's just been accepted into the 2011 Freethought Film Festival, to be held this May in Tampa, Florida.
