Get your Ya Ya's out is one of the finest live rock performances of all time. That night,.. the Stones were the greatest rock band on earth. Much credit to Mick Taylor for that classic performance. Richards is always a classic great. But the night belonged to Taylor's playing, and the whole of the band as a unit of pure professionalism. Love it.
reason why for all the ike tina turner and bb king songs was because the stones wanted to release it as a double album with the opening acts but the record label was not interested
I love this band, and this is their best official live release.
but if you ever heard any concert from the european leg of theit 73 tour (especially brussel) or, even better, a comp of those concerts called the best live document ever (taking the best versions of 15 songs from 4 different concerts), you will know that this here isn't more than probably 60 % of what the taylor stones were capable of.
@mickjagger24 Their altamont version is very similar. I'd like to find an actual track (or mp3) for this also if anyone knows where to find it. On youtube you can search "Rolling stones under my thumb altamont"
I dont give a damn that this Keith Richards has been sniffin 'up his fathers ashes...for a change, -which does never mean anything more than what is just written and never can involve me in anyway ja!...he can play a mean guitar.
the book 'rolling stones from a to z" explaines they wanted to make it a 2 record set with IKE & TINA TURNER & BB KING, but "DECCA" was not interested. I knew about this for years. then all this other stuff, in magazines, analyze the album, claiming it has so many overdubs ect...
On this 40th anniversary edition it's a very good idea to add theses fantastics versions of "Satisfaction" , "Prodigal son" , "Under my thumb" and "I'm free".
The greatest live album ever, I learned the guitar from the original album. Even though this new version is costly, the five new songs rock and make it worth the money, Brilliant. To bad the beatles can't rock live like the stones. Greatest bandf, greatest live album, 5 stars!
Get yer ya-ya's out, I listen it 10000 time when I was at school. the first time I see the Stones in concert was in 1973 in Bruxelles. Since I saw 30 concert until Missula 2006. Good night
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i also heard they are going on a 2010 tour! it's going to be so amazing! this is the perfect christmas gift/ birthday gift! I can't wait for this, only a couple more days!!!!!!!!!!!! STONES ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i haven't seen some of this footage, great stuff!! This is very precious to me. Especially acousic version of You Gotta Move - that's unbeliavable. Does anyone know where i can get that performance? thanks a lot for sharing! i'm also amazed by the quality of this video!

Does anybody remember when and where they first heard "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out"? Seems to me I first heard it in late 1970 a year after it was recorded.

this was the period when the Stones were at their very best. Mick Taylor is the best guitarist they ever had.

Think Keef is the best ever.....but Mick Taylor-Keith richards combination is the best evr been in the Stones.
