@Ultimate600 Focus on getting Death. You won't meet the max breakpoint (60 ias on BotD still means a fast Frenzy, though), but the damage and CB that Death gives is too good to pass up.

@Rilleowned Well, only the right hand weapon speed matters, which your Beast will be in. For a Beast Ettin axe, you will achieve 5.5 frames per attack for Frenzy, whereas in a Beast Zerk, you will achieve 5 frames per attack. So you will swing about five times every second with a Beast Zerk, and about 4.5 times every second with a Beast Ettin. That's roughly 30 more swings every minute with the Beast Zerk.

@jamc41 Ideally you would charge up with Frenzy and attack with DS in the beginning to increase the chance of CB, and as you whittle their life down, finish them off with the higher damaging Frenzy. I just use Frenzy though since I'm lazy.

As for the healing, the life-tap from Dracs is enough. You won't die as long as you hit them.

I am not using Myth, I am manually Howling myself.

@ninjafiremans They are both good for different reasons. Pvp, WW hands down. For PvM... I would choose WW for all other purposes besides killing bosses. For strict boss killing and Uber Trist, Frenzy is superior :).

@Rilleowned The difference is minimal for a Frenzy barb; in fact a Death Ettin dishes out higher average damage than a Zerk. A Death Zerker, however, is easier to resell due to it's lower strength requirement and higher speed. It is more practical for other purposes.

If ur rich wouldnt you consider using Last Wish for massive cb? Also with like Fury you get massive DS and OW. Have you used fort with ur barb? If so does the dmg boost help at all. Or is the bonus to life better?

@Blackswordsman6 Yes, Last Wish works, but overall I have to say I prefer Death. I reach 100% CB with Death regardless, and the damage output is just far greater than Last Wish (even with the Might aura, although it does boost Beast a little). I don't really need the fade precast too since I can survive just fine, and what's really is annoying is the "hit blinds target" mod on Last Wish, which overrides life tap for the minions (and Frenzy hits multiple targets).

@Blackswordsman6 Fortitude works very well, and if you can survive without the extra resists, then Fort is the superior option. As for Fury, again the damage output is too low. The additional Frenzy skills pale in comparison to the extra ED on an ethereal Death, and you're already at the max BP.

If you really want some fun, though, go dual Stormlashes. People will be amazed at you wrecking shit with those. Or Heaven's Lights.

so youll get 5 attacks per second with that gear, all you need is to place it as first in frenzy [LW as second]

3 bers + shaels isnt much comparing to other last wish.... and you get 100% cb with BOTH blades!!! cant reach that percentage with Beast. U get slightly worse Life leeching with crap dmg pb, but adding Dracs to LW makes GZ LT first-aid combo.

It's called diversification, and is much more fun to use other builds to run ubers and of course, the whole game itself.

I put every single one of my points into Vitality. I realize this may not be practical for some people, so the general rule would be as little points as possible into Strength (enough for gear), and the rest into Vitality. You should not need any points in Dex, and definitely none into Energy.

I can't by the life of me figure out what the attraction from botd is, the damage from last wish BA+ Beast BA with their auras and the high leech gets replaced by almost constant life tap (with the reduction of ll in NM and Hell too xD) even budget weapons surpass botd in most ways and still people toss their money for items far from worth it. anyways with the cb bonus and fade from LW arreats+fortitude is a good swap and the immense dmg from fortitude on top of the rest = yumyumyum? ^^

As for BotD, I never really enjoyed using it, but still used it on the final version of my barb. And that barb was a monster in Tristram. I had high CB (even with BotD), and the boost to attributes allowed me to trade off a lot of stuff in my stash. I was also able to swap one of my angelics with a GG ring. I found that Tristram was just overall, a LOT easier... but not necessarily faster than with LW. Also... probably the best thing about BotD... no repair. I'm a lazy ass.

I am not certain if the LW blind effect screws with the life tap on bosses, I have yet to notice loss of life tap so far at least, although with the new alternatives with lower crushing blow needs you can increase you're damage, resistances and AR through new means and pretty much remove much of the danger that could come from possible loss of life tap at rare moments and increase the overall power and survival of your barbarian, though botd is a step down from LW+beast in damage and overall

Yeah, thanks for reminding me that "hit blinds target" has no effect on bosses. I remember having several buddies who had to rely on the minions to gain back health, though. I know I was able to survive with LW... I was always partial to my Death. If you can survive only leeching off the boss, then definitely use LW... if you have the runes lol.

Hey Rexny, I was wondering: wouldn't Last Wish BA+Beast BA be an immense damage boost for this build, sure you sacrifice some deadly strike but you get the might aura and freedom to swap dracul's for laying wich would be an additional 350 % damage (most normal enemies in the game are also demons ^^) and your crushing blow would remain capped and speed aswell. Yes, this would be more expensive and your video is awesome so I wanted your feedback and with the extra high cb you could swap (next)

I WOULD prefer Last Wish (amazing runeword) and Beast but, from what I know, the "Hit Blinds Target" attribute overrides Life Tap, and vice versa. In my opinion, this is a bit riskier with a Barb since unlike a Smiter, you don't always hit, thus you may get stuck without Life Tap for awhile. I've done Last Wish + Laying before, and it is indeed faster. It's up to you if you want to take that risk.
