  • @DerGeisterbahnFreak Sorry my iPod stopped in the Middle of the word. My english teacher said that I can speak very good english but the others in my Class say I can't speak english. The Funny Thing is that when I get angry and speak English I speak in a scottish accent xD. I don't Know Why. ;)

  • @GeekHippieEndarkened Wow. Thanks! :) My english teacher

  • I wished girls today would dress like the 60's...after watching this only now I realized how sexy it is :D

  • I'm white and definitely not racist. The black singers are far better. :)

  • The black chick's killed white butt

  • Pretty much

  • i sung this song for 2 days start because im using this song to try out for show choir and i loe this song :

  • I always laugh when Amanda raises her eyebrows at Seaweed.

  • PAUSE AT 1:08 THATS HOW IT SHOULD BE SHELLEY (SARAH) IS THE BEST CORNY COLLINS DANCER AMBER CANT DANCE BUT I GUESS THAT JUST BRITTANY DOING A GR8 JOB OF HER CHARECYER!!

  • My EARS like the black singers part best, but I like the idea. The new girl owns them all (apparently) the black AND the white.

  • Amber has a double role! She's the middle singer in the first Version of the Song, and she stands behind the dance-people at 0:38!

(Sorry for the bad English! I'm from Germany)

  • @DerGeisterbahnFreak Bad English? Dude, please. I couldn't even tell you were from the awesome country known as Germany until you pointed it out. [though I did see the dance-people thing. That was little weird, but I didn't see that until I re-read it after you said you were from Germany.]

You also spell better than most Americans. *claps for DerGeisterbahnFreak*

  • I love how this movie isn't about racism this, racism that.

I love how this movie was about OUTCASTS. Meaning: EVERYONE WHO WAS DIFFERENT.

  • The black one is better.!! .

  • Wait, the one in between the two white girls is Amber?

  • i like the mexican version

  • Can't stand comments on here.

It's not racist to prefer one singing over the other.

I like the black version best. They keep it hot.

  • i love both parts black and white. the white version is so sweet and the black version is sassy

  • I need this song on my mp3.

  • I like how the white girls' version is sweet and demure, and the black ladies' version is all sassy and sexy.

  • damn i wanna be a dynamite

  • i like both versions... sue me ...

  • I like Shelly better but u live that black part

  • i love black peoples voices there awesome and who knows that moving van might (will) hit amber

  • im black and white :)

  • God black girls's part is way better

  • Lol when I looked in the description and looked at the first names of all the girls who sang this song, the three white girls are named Brittany, Sarah, and Hayley. The three black woman were Kamilah, Terita, and Shayna. Now, I am no racist, but doesn't the comparison crack you up a bit?

  • i love

    black and white :D

  • Okay, the end reminds me so much of Little Shop. "Look out, look out, look out, look out!" :D

  • 2:00 Seaweed's just like "Whoa. I bet she put out hehe."

  • I hate the white version of this. They look all cookie cutter and the black girls look like something realistic and put some unf into it

  • i love how the black girls had sexier clothes than the white girls xD LOL..

  • i like the white version

  • That girl in the red dress really hates amber huh? xD

  • look out! look out!!! look out!!!! LOOK OUT!!! (boom) oh no she is DEAD!!!

  • This movie reminds me so much of Christina Aguilera's Candyman! I hope they'd done the song on the movie :))

  • @charmbramida This movie was originally released when Christina Aguilera was only eight years old. Your ignorance is showing.

  • @thecassl3 Well, there's no need to be rude. I said "i hope", or maybe the right term was "I wish." and maybe they could've added some new songs on it. shame on you...

  • I like the white version MUCH better, and its got nothing to do with my preference or anything I'm friends with all nationalities :) I just prefer the dainty and neat look and the black girls looked all slutty and revealing while singing this and that just wasn't necessary at all, I don't think appropriate either to be honest but oh well its just a movie after all ^^

  • @PinkPsycho92 Me too!

  • @PinkPsycho92 that was the whole point of the song. the point was that blacks were viewed as these crazy, dangerous, sex crazed lunatics while the whites were the image of what music was supposed to be. just after the song ambers mom asks anabelle why she let them sing that song as well and anabelle just goes "they wrote it"

  • i love this movieeee!!!! :)

  • i love negro day!

  • I love how they move girls dresses orange *O* steps are amazing!!!!

  • @payton417 lol all can dance :)

  • she was the new girl in tooooooooooooooooown!

  • i wish i could dance

  • 2:06-2:09 LOL at the dude dancing

  • brittany snow is so pretty!

  • @stardust2207 I concur.

  • LOL v no one put a thumbs up !

  • i wish that i could go back and time and live in the 50s and 60s cuz it so awesome and beautiful dont u agree? thumbs up :p

  • my school is doing hairspray for a musical and im one of the streamers YAY!!!

  • "I....can't dance...because I'm Japanese."

"I wish everyday was negro day."

Well, it wasn't, until I personally decided it was. And I probably can't dance , and it is not because I am Japanese.

I dance where no one can see me

so my successes or failures are seen by none.

  • There's a girl with light skin on the negro day scene.

  • @AIKOAIKOSAN Point made? She's 'light skinned' still black, just light.

  • @PurpleRiverx oh okay. so even if am fair. (Very fair actually) I still can't dance in the same spot as the white kids because I'm Japanese. Sorry,I'm so ignorant about these things. hehe. fuck race. were all human.

  • I think this is a really funny ''parody'' of the kind of boring white version vs. the swinging black version of a song.

Just for the record: I'm white myself ;)

  • Isn't one of the African-American singer from DreamGirls? The replacement of Effie White?

  • Does anyone know how Tammy( the one with the redder hair) does her hair like that?

  • @GodsBalletGirl TAMMY is the one the orange dress and the brown hair, SHELLEY is the one with the red hair but all the hairstyles are wigs in this movie I've seen behind the scenes footage type in Brittany or Sarah (Shelley) on google images, Brittany's hair is naturally are darker shade of blonde and Sarah's IS NATUTRALLY blonde. Well I guess to achieve that look youcould try putting random strips of hair across the top of your head secure with clips and use loadsa HAIRSPRAY! :)

  • Do we really have to say which of the two versions we like better? The point of this scene is to show the distinction between the white and black cultures. The white girls are SUPPOSED to be really cutesy and the black girls are SUPPOSED to have more soul. Stop saying which ones you like better and just enjoy this song.

  • @mrscooperism It's called freedom of speech and expression. We know the point of the scene, but we would like to say which version we liked the best anyways. If you find it annoying then stop reading the comments. See, you don't like it when I tell you to stop. You can complain, just don't tell others what to do.

Personally, a remix of both version would be awesome.

  • Love love love the dresses on everyone in this scene. Those divas are rocking orange like they invented it.

  • i love the black version. they have such powerfull voice.

I am not a racist. because i am a marocan girl from belgium

  • I'm Tammy in Hairspray and i have to dance in this dance...and i just look at negro day dancers and i just want to sing with their passion and do their dance SO bad! My part of the dance is fake and stiff :(

  • I think I might be the only one who likes the white version better....not that the black version isn't good, it is~! They put a lot of heart into it! But, I just like the white girls version, cause they sing it sweeter ish, it sounds more 1960s to me. I dunno,, but I'm not racist, don't kill me!

  • I can't stop smiling :0

  • I actually like both versions equally. They're different, but both good.

  • i like the black version most the white version is alittle to cutesy

  • i love this song :)

  • corny white chicks..we all know the black girls did it better and with soul..just like in everyday real life.

  • Amber's the b*tchiest girl in town

  • @sweetiegrl41 nah, I wanna beat the crap out of that shelley girl lol!

  • Black version contains something that the white version does not have:

    Soul!!!!!!

But it would be better if everybody would be blind for unequality. So power to the people!!!!

  • =( i wish we could do this song in the school production

  • Pause it @2:35, the Girl on the Left, Bang is LOPSIDED..... Lol But the Black Chicks id it WAYYYY BEtter! Yayy ! =)))

  • black people rule !!!!!!!!!

  • yoo estube en esa obra y era amber xD

  • @ 1.37... (Unspoken lyrics with the "head bop") We'd like to say "tres vous" to the new girl in town.

  • any hairspray song is my fav as long as it as tammy in it =)

  • "That big little girl is sending my sales through the roof. More people are breathing aerosol, than oxygen!" LOL.

  • Negro day EVERYDAY!! They should own the show and have 'white people day'

    Seaweed is soooooo Hawt!!

  • C'mon it is given that the black version will be better!!! anyone with african roots has an amazing beat and sense of rhythm!!! have you seen their tribal dances... amazing!!!

  • 1:06 Shelly's evil stare :3

  • I'm Tammy in a production of this, hope i get to be in this song!!
