What a song, years ago I called a radio show host asking her for the info on the song or artist. She replied sing few bars, I did and she got it, and told me she would play the song next, but not before she played my rendition live... I will never forget that day or today , to be lucky to be back in love and seeing this video!! Thanks for sharing this memory...
@BandOnTheRun87 Not all four of the originals, but there are two originals here. Chuck Blasko (on the left) and Hugh Geyer (third from the left, with the beard). I'm glad that Hugh was here as he lends that particular tenor voice that we all know and love.
when u record a live band through the $2 mike on a home video camera instead of through the $12,000 mixing console it does tend sound a little crappy. ya think?
If you're good, all you need is good live musicians. Frankly I'm sick of recording with the mixing consoles. The hourly price is across the board and I'd rather pay live musicians.
@oldvinyldj I don't know if you are referring to me recording the group here. But if you are let me set the record straight. I am not with the band, did not know the band members or crew members. And this was on the spur of the moment. I didn't know they were performing at the park that day. And since not knowing them I couldn't very well go asking to plug into their mixing console. I'm just glad they let me record it in the first place.
@kpdave Nothing at you! Good job at posting these rare clips. My comment was directed at USABandstand originally. It seems when youtube reformated a bit back, a lot of the comments got shuffed out of place and some made no sense. My point is that the bands that record through thier mixers will allways sound way better than through one single mike on ANY camcorder. It would be great if these guys could get a through the board video out there.
I think this was last year 2007. Sucks when even I can't remember for sure, and I was there. But it was a really good show. They performed some other songs that I didn't upload mainly because they were covers of songs that they didn't record. And they were pretty good too. Maybe some day I'll put them up.
beautiful.... beautiful.... i love the rendention of this song

The band wasn't that great, but then, they didn't have the advantages of playing in a studio or a theater.
