  • wow, that's way too much theory for a harmonica! haha

  • i play on c harp.can that be played on c harp too?

  • great player, great teacher...cool guy!

  • You've picked on my favorite of all time sir besides the coveted Howlin' Wolf. I've got a challenge for you. "Feel So Bad (Live)" by Ray Charles which themed with gospel and funk and such. It is from the Live in Japan album and it is purely soul music. I tried your other lessons for his songs and they worked but then I got to this one and my A and E harps didn't work. Do this for fun if you'd like.

  • harptabs.com is a good site that have many tabs guys

  • Great lesson, what makes it possible for me to be able to play this

is because I bought an expensive Hohner Crossover harp in G.

Such a lovely instrument to play on. I struggle to bend properly on a new

Marine Band in Bb, but this Crossover harp brand is superbly made and

    tonally, sounds great and responsive.

  • Can't believe how fun this song is to play. I almost passed on this lesson because I figured that it would be beyond the harmonica but Adam nails it. Please don't stop posting. YOU are OUR Nat Riddles! Thanks so much ADAM

  • great lesson, not sure i believe you about the NATURAL high tho, your looking like you feel good, Tony Little, just kidding

  • when you say blue third do you mean minor third?

  • Great question. Yes and no. The minor third--E-flat on the piano when you're playing a piano blues in C--is a good start, but if you watch blues (or rock) guitar players play the note, they always smear the minor third up a few cents, so the pitch is more like the quarter tone between minor third and major third. There's also a blue third that is slightly BELOW the minor third; Dickie Betts and Duane Allman use that note on LIVE AT THE FILLMORE.....

  • It's the flat 5th in third position if you bend it hard--the deepest bend possible.

  • I'm not sure what you're asking.

  • i ment "would" be demonstrational

  • Adam, yeah - apparently, you've already said that yourself)) ('bout the instructional nature of your videos)

  • not bad! and if he wasn't that talkative, i must say, it wouldn't be a demonstration but not a lesson!

  • 2 much talking... (yawn) but ur good ^.^

  • These are instructional videos, not performance videos. It's hard to instruct if I don't talk. Perhaps I should take up mime.

  • lol mime? good ideea :) just kiddin`... :)

  • the look on is face at 7;13 ha classic. you rocki man

  • Funky

  • Ahah So Good!)))

  • lol atleat you are having fun its cool you go all out

  • Have you tried this on a high G harp? I bet it would work out pretty nice, maybe I'll even have to try it myself.

  • Looks like a spoke to soon, you used a high in your next video. Good times.

  • great!we enjoyed very much. tq

  • I love the G harp!, it was my first! Then a C, but I play more the G now.

  • You are great .

  • Well, I'm doing all three of those things. I'm using 2-5 and 6-3 in the "bridge" riff (sax); I'm blocking left side--or at least I demo this--on the repeated 2 draw riff.

  • That 2d bend riff (following "I feel good" vocal) punches through in a band setting a lot more if you tongue block it. Don't know why (and it takes some work to be able to TB bend that 2 hole) but it works.

  • Oh I really like this one! And Adam, great to see you pumped up like that! I like how you dance to the tune. It's something else to observe and learn. :)

  • Oh yes, we are having fun now!

  • Brilliant! I played this song in a band for years!! As usual, you break it down with amazing clarity.

  • Love this song! Just an idea-- for the starting lick that uses the 2 hole draw and its half step bend, this could also be played 2 octaves up as the 9 hole blow and the 9 hole blow bend which is a half step anyways. When done correctly it sounds funky although you can't play note after it an octave up.

  • Thru Gussow from Charles to Brown - Good Stuff!/Thanks

  • Yes Adam! This is the next level. For guys (gals) who want to jam at a set. Please more on making your on solos. Thanks for the blessings.

  • awesome i love improvising for funk with the harp great job once again

  • Another great one. And "I feel Good"
