This is the theme song from 商台's radio drama first broadcasted in 1962. It was a 1/2 hour show starting at 2:00pm sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive. This story is about a love triangle between 2 teenage school girls and a school teenage boy, involved in the production of a musical play which has this song in it. The names of the 2 girl characters were 劉芳草 and 白如花. The name of the boy char. was 綠一明. 尹芳玲 played the role of 劉芳草 in the broadcast.

「勁草嬌花」是商台最早期很受歡迎的廣播劇,播音員有尹芳玲,紫­嶶,馮展萍等等....主題曲亦是尹芳玲主唱,若我沒記錯,這是­有廣播劇以來第一隻主題曲,這也是尹芳玲第一首唱的歌,因很受歡­迎,但只有商台有得點唱,其它電台欠奉.「薔薇之戀」也是尹芳玲­任廣播劇女主角,主題曲也是她在六十年代其間錄唱的,也只有商台­擁有錄音帶.
