You´re right, Tokais are better than Gibsons. Actually, Gibsons have weight relief holes and are chambered. You´re 51, you should know this fact. Keep paying the brand and forget my stupid tags. I´ll keep buiying japanese guitars. Regards.
i agree with you, the tokais are better and smarter to buy..and i am not 51, i did that so i wouldnt get blocked from videos im 14, im just curious as to why you didnt tag it as what it was..i didnt mean that it was a bad thing...but i mean its still not a les paul u shuld tag it as a LR....whatever its really not my call lol.
No problem, man. I only used this tag in order to get many views: sometimes I use the tag "sex" for the same thing even, lol. Most of people don´t know what the hell is a "Tokai Love Rock"...I want to know more opinions about this guitar. I love the oldies Gibsons, but actually you pay too many bucks only for the Gibson logo IMO, and Les Pauls are chambered! If you can, I recommend you checking a japanese replica like an Edwards or a Tokai: amazing guitars. Best regards.

is a tokai usually heavier than and edwards lp? i thinkinking of picking up either but the edwards seems likght at just 7.5 lbs

My Tokai weights about 8,15 lbs, is light for a Les Paul model without weight relief holes or chambered, like a Gibson.
Due to this it has an amazing sustain and a fat sound.
I think that 7,5 lbs is a too light weight for a Les Paul, but I´ve heard than Edwards build excellent guitars, with Seymour Duncan stock pickups.
