  • u have sum decent themes 2 work with but those marcato/almost stacatto string parts r suffering from lack of realistic attacks.... also ur percussion overall should feel more airy w/ subtle reverb and perhaps layer sum subsonic hits along w/ the classical percussion.

the theme needs 2 build more and more... and be over conscious bout exaggerating the dynamic range.... that brings a realism more often than the quality of samples itself.... off 2 a good start keep grindin...

  • Cool song

  • Nice job, keep hammering it out until you feel right with it. Please feel free to check out my work and leave your feedback and subscribe. I'm new to posting my film music efforts here at YouTube, but I'll continue to update the channel as I finish more compositions.

    Stay inspired,

    Russ

  • have you finished the song yet? it should have a fast percussive choral orchestral ending.....

  • It's about 99% finished, and it's extended to 2 mins, 30 seconds. The Symphonic Orchestra sounds amazing compared to this, the drums are way better, and I have Symphonic Choirs "ahh"ing (still need to learn how to set everything up to get the words into a composition(

I should be able to post the latest version of this song later this week

  • Very epic song. I love 0:35

  • did you use soundpool dvd 14 for this?

  • I used it for one of the cymbal crescendos, but I won't be using it now that I have Symphonic orchestra

  • i think you can also use pro scores, this sounds really cool!

  • pretty sweet and well done, you should enter it into one of those online contests like yobi sing

  • I'll look at entering the final versions into contests, but this is just a practice run

  • u should do most of ur songs first (instrumental versions), then add the choir to them, so ur no choir ones would be ready and then just add the choir to them...u know what i mean? it would save time...

  • sounds good man, love the intro! would love to know what you think of my demo...

  • At 0:30 sounds like something that can be used for a Nightmare Before Christmas or Corpse Bride trailer. Good song though. Hope to hear more.

  • i love it soounds good =)

well i can't critique it much coz it's good. Well the second part is wee monotone but it's ok

  • Well done! You should check out Magnus Choir VSTi. It's pretty good virtual choir.

  • i think it´s good, keep doing it man, you know how to make it :)

  • wow man Nice=] nice music editing

  • I cant wait to hear the finished product. Its a very genuine melody.

  • You definitely get five stars for the effort, no doubt.

  • It's lovely!

Epic too! I really loved it...

One day, I need to do something like this....:)

  • thanks :)

Glad my demo isn't getting totally destroyed by critics, but I still have a long way to go with this

  • Pretty cool, keep up the good work

  • great work! 5/5.

Not all trailer songs need choir.....

    Is that album art fanmade?

  • Yes I made it myself, that's probably going to change too though.

I don't have the choir program yet, but I was thinking of only using it for the ending (this is just the begining half of the song) in the same melody as the french horn at 1:00

  • Excellent job! It really does have great potential to be even more amazing. Very well done!

  • This has promise to be absolutely amazing (although it does kinda sound dippy right now :P).

    Keep it up!

  • lol I know it sounds dippy :) I'm going to work on adding a little more variety and a better sounding string quartet

  • Well then it will be awesome. ;)

  • Good god

    Did u rly make that???

    It's rly great.

Awsome!! The rhythm is so cool

    Amazing work ^_^
