@consmith9000 get the Game of the Year Deluxe Edition off Steam, it has Oblivion, the Shivering Isles expansion, and *all* of the DLC, rather then just Knights of the Nine, which is the only DLC that comes with the GOTY edition. I don't recommend for a console, as there's no way to patch out the numerous bugs, many of which can only be solved by unofficial usermade patches on the PC.

@Linkthe1st Well, in Oblivion it completely stops the player. In the Fallout games, it makes them just walk slow. They can still crawl to the nearest place to store or sell loot. In Oblivion, you have to drop the loot or store it in a storage space and come back to it later, or consume all of the alchemy related things available.

There are tons of mods and official plugins that improve gameplay, and add to the storyline.

U can also download the mods "Saddlebags" to add a container to your horse, and "Streamliner" to remove frame drops while traveling outside. Over-encumbrance can be avoided with a spell called Feather that increases the amount of weight u can carry. Also try to get +5 points for each attribute u upgrade every level, my level 5 can carry 375 weight.

bretons are waaay better than high elves. breton have higher strength, willpower, and are 75% more resistant against magic so they are better all around. high elves are better in destruction and alteration but bretons are better in restoration and conjuration so they are just good at different magic.

@Cydercontrol I just started this game yesterday and there is actually a way to toggle between first and third person. I don't enjoy first person as much either, but luckily you can easily change that by pressing the right analog stick.

There's a house in each city that you can own. You have to purchase furnishings separate, but anything you put in your house will not disappear. In most cities you have to talk to the count about buying a house.
