  • @willbeanz1 the one at disney world is so not the same as the real brodway version the disney one is downplayed will the characters being disticnt figures from the movie like sima is shown as a animated statue that looks like the movie same with timone pumba and so on. the original brodway one gives a new life to the characters giving them more human qualitys that you can relate to just saying not trying to be mean just saying lol :)

  • If there is one term that is overused in our world, it's "genius". Many are callled geniuses, or things "works of genius" that are excepional, but not that rarefied top level.

That doesn't apply to Julie Taymor, the worman responsible for this production. She IS a genius....no question. And this will always be rememberd as one of her greatest works.

    Love It!

  • this is amazing and sooo great

  • The Lion King is my favorite movie of all times!! I also love the performance i would do anything to see them again live performing

  • i think this is so cool you don't look at the people and think of them as people they are the animals

  • I LOVE THIS .<3333

  • whats so amazing about lion king broadway is that you dont look at the people and think 'oh thats a person waving around a bird' or 'its a guy in stilts with a giraffe head' u forget they're human.

  • which is why the lion king has always been, hands down, one of the best, if not the best, broadway play.

  • this is so good.

i wondered if they'd be able to pull of the whole people as animals thing. but, they really have. its amazing!

  • THIS IS THE BEST SHOW THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN WASHINGTON, i live in yakima, so all that we have here is the capitol theatre, and we could never put on a preformance like the one that I saw in Seattle, I saw it at The Paramount, and i completely disagree with the person that said that the london rafiki was better, the us tour rafiki is a south african native, so she was much better at singing this music, she was absolutly hilarious!!!!! the "do you 'click' understand?" was the best!!!

  • actually young nala is in this video, she's a baby elephant

  • *shivers* man, this song always gives me goosebumps i almost feel like crying when hearing it too, it's so beautiful

  • me toooooo

  • Thanks. I was wondering what company was at the Kennedy Center.

    I'm goin.. August 16th.

  • Ive seen lion king here in South Africa , It was AMAZING!!!

  • I love how the camera starts from the back of Rafiki. Don't know why .. but I love that shot.

  • I think that the london Rafiki has a better voice. But she sings quite good as well.

  • This Rafiki was not so good!! In Londen is Rafiki much better. This is toooooo much

  • This Rafiki shines more in later songs where she is able to go higher in her vocal range, she was spectacular. Saw the Show Tuesday night.

  • this music gives me the chills every time i hear it!
