  • @christellaiffy thank you ;) if I were you, do it while you still can. Believe me, it will be worth it in the end..Just pray always and you'll be fine. God bless

  • @vdu30 thanks :) but i have to ask....that scar..does it ever go away ?!

  • @christellaiffy the dermatologist will give you something to lighten the scar..in the long run, it'll be lighter, if not gone..there is also laser, but it is costly and much painful.

  • can i ask? what is the best hospital here in the phil. for scolliosis surgery?

  • @fitzpol Hello! I think its more like, the best doctor as compared to best hospital. Here in Cebu, Dr. Agustin Morales is best known for spine surgery. Where are you from anyway? I can recommend him to you if you have plans to have surgery here in Cebu :)

  • @AdrienneNicole1995 - thank you so much! I am doing great now. just got back from vacation with my family considering that im only 3 mos post op. God is good. Send my hello to your sister, Valerie, too. =)

  • wow in 12 years it went to 62, i was told i had mild scoliosis when i was 15 but i think i had it earlier because i hadn't gone to a doctor for 2 years and when i was 15 i was told, and now i'll be 17 later in the year, i hope mine wont progress like that, i hope your doing well:)

  • Hi! I'm Maddie, and I have scoliosis too. My curves (I have a S curve) are currently 40 degrees on top and 28 degrees on bottom. I'm really scared that I'm going to need surgery; I have a brace, but I barely wear it because its soo annoying! I go to the orthopedist in July and I've been soo nervous the past few days. I mean, I'm 15 which is when I think I stop growing... I want to be taller. I have one question: Do you get a shirt size bigger because of all the height that you get?

  • @w00tuser101 Hi there! Scoliosis that needs surgery ranges from 45 degrees and over which they categorize as severe scoliosis. With yours, I think the doctor needs to check on its progression before he decides to open you up. I used to wear a brace in high school too and like you, I barely used it. I stopped growing at the age of 16 and I thought the curve would stop growing BUT I was wrong. Over the years, it progressed 100%. During highschool my curve was 35 deg. b4 surgery it was 62 deg.

  • @vdu30 oh.... wow. Is there any pain? Like a lot of pain?

  • @w00tuser101 i did not have any problems before my surgery, maybe because the curve was on the thoracic, meaning to say on the upper side of the spine. After the surgery, there was pain but don't worry coz you will have pain meds to control it. =)

  • did you wore a brace after surgery?

  • @blushydevil

my doctor mentioned about the possibily of wearing one but as of now

there are no orders yet..do you have any idea when they ask you to

    wear one?

  • Well done :)

I know its a hard journey but you look great!!

    xx

  • @PinkCandyBabe01

thank you so much! it was tough but yeah im so glad i've done it. :)

  • stay healhty dai!

  • Nice video Val! Congratulations on your new life! Make it more meaningful and a healthier one! ENJOY!!! :-) - Kaye
