Maybe approach the police department directly and ask for it back, or ask directions to the agency that currently has it. I don't think they can legally take things without a warrant,were you issued a search warrant? This would be worth looking into, how many people did they take footage from? Amy Goodman said they took a battery, but not the film, maybe it's because they knew she would have the power to fight back?
