Great Job . im making this for Thanksgiving .. just 3 pounds so it should only take an hour or little more to cook. does that sound about right... Thanks Joe....
Hey Betty, not meaning to be rude or anything but one of these days could you make a video touring your house? I think it would be very interesting to watch... you have a really pretty house.
WOW! That looks SOOOOO DELICOUS! You are fabulous at creating and cooking lovely food! And Rick is fabulous at carving. The carving as well as the gorgeously cooked food goes together to appeal to the eyes.
I never throw anything away. I always refrigerate or freeze leftovers, and then heat them up later. For example, yesterday I uploaded hot buttered rum, and today I am uploading fruit salad. so for tonight's supper I will need to get out some frozen chicken casserole, some frozen rolls, some frozen cheesecake, and heat some green beans to go along with my fresh fruit salad to have an easy meal, not wasting any of the previously cooked food!
This time it was just a simple meal for my immediate family. I had potato rolls with butter, mashed potatoes, dressing, peas & carrots, cranberry sauce, iced tea, and French silk pie and skillet fudge. The entire plate is in the last slide of the video.
naw, alot of those FN chefs annoy me... especially that one with the big head and lil body... Betty cracks me up, no technical food jargon, just simple talk for us common folk and she seems like such a nice person.
Look out Martha Stewart..:) Always a pleasure to learn watch you cook :)

Betty would it be alright to keep the turkey in one roasting pan the whole time with the breast side up and covered with foil?
mnewcomer228 3 months ago
@mnewcomer228 Yes, that would be fine.

Betty, instead of using foil, would a baking bag have the same effect?

betty you very good teacher i have once question why you used cold water to was turkey why not hot?
rosinasweetheart 1 year ago
@rosinasweetheart YOu should rinse any meat with cold water. Hot water will partially "cook" the turkey. The cold water keeps it fresh.
