I can agree this game is very hard, but mainly because it's not a swift run and gun, it takes the player time to take stock of each situation, act fast....and use lots.. and lots of headshots heh.

Syphon Filter never really changed throughout it's lifespan on the Play Station. I have Syphon Filter 3, and it doesn't look like they changed anything about it since the second game.

never played this one, but I used to own the first one, and the game was definatly hard, but it didn't get progresivly harder, it was hard as hell in some levels, and others where just plain hard. I couldn't beat the first level in Siphon Filter 1 for anything but with level select I could go and complete a few of the later levels, which is kinda odd. I think, you guys would have had more fun if you used cheat codes, like I did for the first one.

To me, the only Syphon Filter game worth playing is The Dark Mirror on the PSP. Forget about the PS2 version.

Personally, I thought the first game was the only good one in the series. That had much better and tightly constructed missions and game designs. The sequal was the definition of trial and error. It makes Splinter Cell and the previous RE games look like Morrowind. The third one is better than the 2nd game, but that game wasn't too great either. The first game in the series was a very solid MGS influenced game with well thought out missions, the last few missions were pretty frustrating though.
