He reason why ALL NPC's and Player models do the T- form is because of either a NULL (empty) animation, or no animation at all for the action they are performing. There is no anim. for machinima hands. You can make one, but is a real pain to do it.

It depends on the map and how its coded for the AI, some maps aren't coded for AI at all so enemies just stand there.

There is an addon to make them chase you on any map, even ones that aren't AI coded. I didn't have it at the time of making this video.
