@jay611j I know bro i just ordered one for 30 bucks. which in my opinion is great because i have a klarus nt10 that puts out 230 lumens and i got it for 54$ im happy maglite fin ally hit 200 lumens !
great review, was wondering wich one to get and seeing all specs and preformance next to eatchother I decided to go with the classic 2xAA mag due to the 18 hour batterylife on high power mode, as seeing the beams next to eatchother I really couldent tell it was that huge of a difference and well sufficient beam for my needs, but 18 against 8,5 hour batterylife in high power mode decided it for me, along with the fact that 2xAA had a slightly adjustable wide to spot beam (more noticable on range)
loved this review. You got straight to it and it was interesting to listen. I have a mini and a 2D but my mini must be old because it has no settings. Im guessing they've added for the new led versions.
i brought a brand new maglite xl50 ive noticed mine has a slight yellowish tine when aimed at the wall ,it might pick it up on your vid ,is yours like that? or tottally bright white cheers.!
...I was thinking of purchasing the Maglite XL50 or the Coleman Max with 144 lumens. Would any of you consider paying the $5 or $6 more for the Maglite as a wise move or should I stick with purchasing the Coleman? The Coleman has a 6 hour run-time, one mode (just a high beam all of the time) instead of three, and has a range of 115 meters. I'm thinking I should get the Maglite XL50 but I want to see what some of you think.
Hi man. Another great review. I commented in your other video of the XL 50. Good review and there is a way to secure a makeshift lanyard. Thick elastic bands will do the trick as they have friction as well as tightness. Apply to 2 spots and they are not likely to slip.
Anyway, just to check, I am thinking of getting 1 over ebay for US$28 from Altatac. Is it a good idea? This is my first time buying something online.
i gotta give you mad props on the very detaild review. i just saw this light at wal-mart and love it.. l.e.d and strobe function for 30 bucks gotta get me 1
i have three maglites. AA led and 2nd generation AA led multimode and the 4D led. great flashlights but compared to my fenix PD30 r4 and Olight M20 r5 they are in another level. spend abit more and get the olight m20s s2 or the fenix pd31 r5
@Rwiffill Thank you for your suggestions. Around Summer time Maglite will release a new Pro Series of the 2AA LED with 170 lumens MSRP of under $30. I'm interested so if I get my hands on one we'll see how it'll compare to the current model.
@plasticaholic I recently purchased another mini (will do a separate review on the mini soon). You'll sacrifice a little bit of brightness, but for the money, the mini is a very good choice since it costs less and it'll also saves you money on batteries in the long run.
Dude, you need to be on radio. You have a unique voice. If you were announcing the traffic conditions in my town I wouldn't be so pissed about being stuck in it. Nice vid, BTW.

The new 2xAA Mini Maglite Pro+ just came out and it has 245 lumens compared to the old Mag LED at 69 lumens. That's a huge step up for Maglite!

@AlfonsFromAtech CR-123 will not work in the XL50, it only takes AAA batteries. Thanks for watching.
