Have you tried the Yugo 8mm ammo? I have tried it in a FN49 and the brass case makes it very clean shooting. The primers are corrosive but...good ammo aside.
@ammosmith Hi, We have not as we don't have any of it on hand. And although I realize it is available the intent of shooting it with the Romanian was purely to show function with less than ideal ammo. Since it will void the warranty to use surplus or reloads I just haven't pursued the testing of other surplus ammo.
@ammosmith We just can't stand behind a warranty if people choose to shoot ammo of unknown loading or storage history - not to mention hard primers etc. Like asking a new car manufacturer to warranty the new car being feed drip gas or gas that was purchased at a discount from old storage tanks.
